Use Dracflamloc's T3Launcher. Can't remember where to get it, but you can find it with a search.

To make the editor work.
It's not actually running the game to get to the editor though, just pointing things in the right direction.
Beyond that, I honestly don't know why they did things that way rather than just going straight to T3Ed.exe
