if you can afford it (it's only about 200 with negotiations) there's a scroll of lock splitter. in the vivec mage's guild, the girl standing in the doorway right as you enter has it. it regenerates, so buy one, and then you can come back and get another. easiest way to get into those big closets...

Be careful there evanir you MIGHT get people coming back to you saying your wrong.
These scrolls are very random and their appearence in the inventories of most merchants varies from character to character (even if they do restock) it may have something to do with level but i personally feel there's more to it.
You may well be able to buy them but other people may find they can't...
Thanks for pointing out your discovery anyway. :D
(People might like to try the enchanter in the Telvanni canton in vivic but i'm afraid i can't garuntee anything for the reason stated above.)

good point......
if it's level based i'm at 19 but i remember seeing it long before that. i wanted to break into Dyvaith's closet and that just happened to show up at the right time.
the White Haven woman in Balmora has Recall and Mark, at least for me. i find those potions incredibly useful since my magic skills suck. (hey my long sword is 100 and my strength is 121)

Scroll of Ekash's Lock Splitter is only available randomly without a plugin. It may however show up at the Mages Guild enchanter in Wolverine hall, Vivec and Ald'ruhn as a restocking scroll (infact any scroll may do that, but only one type for each of them). Other people who have a restocking random scroll :
Llether Vari (Ald'ruhn, Under-Skar)
Felayn Andral (Holomayan Monastary)
Barusi Venim (Tel Aruhn, and he is a Telvanni not Redoran)
Audenian Valius (Vivec, Telvanni canton)
Hlendrisa Seleth (Tel Uvirith)
Ilen faveran (Balmora Temple)
I may have missed some, but I don't think so.

I found a bunch in a cave near Peligiad. However I'm sure they were levelled items because I was like level 40something at the time. They really pissed me off, being a thief and what not, I had spent time and money learning how to lockpick, and these scrolls come along that let any ideot do it. Needless to say I took them all and stashed them at my house so noone could get thier greedy little hands on them :ebil:

True Hidden_7 but you can afford to sell them for nice profit unlike other people who really need to keep them. :D

for a while that's like one of the most found items..
it was like 'check crate' hmmm lockspliter scroll..

check urn... what? grrrrrr dagnabit... 2 more locksplitter scrolls... damn u scrolls..
repeat at next cave looted
and at the cave after that
and......... oh u get the point...
i got good security skills high 70's i think almost 80... and i can pick just bout any lock anyway..
so having like 25+ of them scrolls is no use...i carry a few anyway... but most of em sit on a shelf...

forget about scrolls. just buy a cheap unlock spell. then go to a spellmaker and get them to make a spell of 100pt unlock.

I just enchanted a shirt to do that... :p
