1) For the life of me, I can't find that Diary I need to get into the Thieves Guild.
Maybe she's still carrying it and hasn't visited her house yet?

Have you been invited in, dear brother/sister?

Oh yeah, that Commentary's book 3, I think I dropped it whilst inside an Oblivion gate, which has now been destoyed. :o Do you think I'll be able to find another?
Doubtful, isn't that chap's book the only copy?

Yeah. I got the quest to find the door and say something. So there's another way in through some sewers then? Looks like I'll have to take that route.

She has been back into her house. I jumped onto a roof of a house in front of hers and watched her go inside. I'm surprised she hasn't still given the Diary to that guy who waits behind her house yet as it's been ages since starting that quest!
I haven't got any pick-pocketing skills yet, so I think I'll have to get some from somewhere. It's just finding where to get some.

Well, I guess it's not that important, since you can't drop quest items anyway.

Well.... no. You are given the key after a couple of DB quests ended. Since you cannot enter... you can't get one :(

Try again. Even if you haven't been asked to join the brotherhood, the door should ask you for a password. If you don't know the password, then you should check your journal and make sure you've done what Mr Lechance told you to do. :)

Will I get any benefits from buying a house, (apart from having somewhere to sleep whenever I need it?) I have the 7000 gold, but it's a damn lot to pay for a bed!

You can keep all that crap that piles up but you can't sell because none of the traders have enough money for it...

Unless you use the Living Economy mod included in Francesco's Leveled etc., of course. There's a mod solution for almost every Oblivion problem.

Well, I'm moving along now. I'm up to level 27, and was finally able to get through that red-glowing, Dark Brotherhood door. I don't know if it was a bug or what, (I've since re-installed the game after upgrading the PC), because it wasn't working before.
On that quest where I have to talk to a Guard about a currupt one, well I killed the currupt one, so now when I try to ask the Guard about the Currupt Guard, I can't even ask him about him any longer because that option isn't available any more. (I can't talk to him about the currupt Guard any longer) I still have the quest to ask him about the currupt Guard though! :weird:
Is there a known bug that sometimes, when dismounting a horse, you get kicked out from the Dark Brotherhood and the Mages Guild? :weird: That's happened to me twice now!
I also got a weird bug sometimes when knocking off a Guard from his horse with a good old prod of my sword! Even though he was still lying on the ground, he got back on his horse! :weird: Only he was invisible. This invisible thing came attacking me while he writhered about on the floor. It's like there became two of him... One attacked me while the other lay on the floor! :joke:
Right then, I'm off to a party to slaughter the guests! :D

I would imagine Emily Post would frown on that. :joke:
