What a poor man. Obviously he is suffering.
Suffering because he is in prison.
Suffering in prison because he committed crimes.
Suffering. For Crimes.
:tsktsk:
you'd have probably said the same thing about this fella, right?

damn lucky he went 27 years without seeing the chair! I'll say that much

Different story and not the subject discussed here.
If he's guilty or not is another story and yes, there will always be some people convicted for deeds they didn't commit and that's terrible and I disagree with the death-penalty, too - but that's not the point.
The point is his opinion of being tortured and starved to death when achieving 3000 (!) calories a day, an amount fitting some hard-trained triathlete - but not someone sitting on his butt most of the time.

what's being discussed here then? how it's funny that they can throw you in prison and allow you to lose weight at a potentially dangerous rate for 8 months all with no conviction? Who's guaranteeing it's diet related anyway? You do realize that some people are fat for reasons beyond their control and reasons besides bad eating habits...right? or are we still in middle school?

I think you are. Don't try peddle that "some people are fat and it's not their fault" around here son. It's energy in is greater than energy out. There are some medical conditions which make you put on weight but not so you get to be 150kg!
The issue isn't whether he's convicted or not, it's that he is complaining that he is now... not thin, no... not a normal weight, no.... not a bit fat, no... but STILL obese. And I don't buy his blurred vision either.
I guarantee it is diet related weight gain. If it wasn't how come a different diet is altering his weight!?

My prison weight loss plan:
1) High protein
2) Basketball
3) Anal rape
4) Depression

Does having a medical degree count?

As I hope we've cleared up this whole diet debate*, I'd like to point out something else that seems "only in america!"
Tipping! It's only recently that I've realised that in the US tipping of waiters and, especially, bartenders isn't merely expected but mandatory. In the US restaurants and bars pay their employees less than the minimum wage with the expectation that part of their wage is tips. Fair enough that there are different rules for different countries but how many people are actually aware of this? In the UK tipping is probably expected but definitely does depend on the standard of service. Bartenders will definitely not get tipped regularly for serving the customers yet I understand that in the US they do. Are there any other countries that have this understanding in effect? Am I woefully naive in knowing this is the case in the US?
*thief13x arguing a ridiculous case is, while slightly unexpected this time, par for the course
