I haven't seen this listed at any of the cheat sites or in any of the Tips/Hints sections with regards to Deus Ex, so I thought I'd list it here for any that are interested in this little "bug" I found; or perhaps its been found before, and I just didn't see anything....
With this bug/cheat, you can open/bypass any; door, lock, chest, keypad, control panel, security camera, etc. with only a SINGLE lockpick or multitool.
Do not read any further if you want to play the game as the makers intended.......
Simply walk up to the obstacle you want to unlock/bypass, and start to pick it or use a multitool on it. Before finishing using the first tool, hit F1, which brings up the Inventory screen. You can do this the instant after you start using the "tool". Leave the F1 screen open for approx. 10-20 seconds (I count quickly in my head) and then return to the game by hitting F1 again. The item should now read "Unlocked" or "Bypassed". I've found that the more lockpicks/multitools it takes, the longer you should leave the F1 screen open.
With this cheat, upgrading your Lockpicking or Electronics skills beyond the default level is worthless, save the skill points for something else.

HeeHee....
Wasn't trying to cheat, just found it by accident. Intrigued, I reloaded and tried it again. Then I tested with lockpicks....sure enough, it worked with those too. I don't play any different than I did before (heck, I already go around with 20 of each all of the time anyway, can't get rid of enough of them boogers). Just thought I would add to the bug list. There are ways of getting an infinite amount of augmentation upgrade canisters and skill points too, but I don't go around using those, now do I?

its amazing the kind of quirks that you can find by accident.

This has been found before. I don't remember where though, it was either here, planet deus ex forums, or deus-ex.org forums.
Seems I'm just about the only guy to visit all three. :p

No, I think I've seen it here before, too.
