Moon - probably the best true sci-fi film of the last decade, and shamefully underrated accordingly

To equate either of your interminable prattling with my once-off half-shameful admission of disliking a "cinematic classic" is hardly doing you any favours.
I must have missed that, but I'm not a big Blade Runner fan either - I've watched it three times and still don't get what all the fuss is about. It's not awful, but just a bit meh. I'll ponder on a fecal-related nickname for it and get back to you stat.

This whole thing is running on fumes without Faf's rage to fuel it. Jesus cock can only get you so far. :(

I'm a fan of sci-fi and yet the only two sci-fi films that I rate as really high quality are Blade Runner and Alien. It might have to do with the time they were made but there is something that is just so about them both. They're both very tangible and the tech isn't mental unreal.
There have been a few more recent films that have the same feel to them and Moon was one of them. It's a shame the "twist" was telegraphed so obviously so early on (and no, I hadn't read spoilers).
General film rant: wtf is UP with these trailers that give the entire plot away these days. I've not seen either of the following films but I've guessed the entire story arcs based on the trailers, and I know I'm correct on the first one at least.
Shutter Island: Potentially gripping and well made mystery by one of the masters ruined by trailer that screams "He is the missing one!" like the wailing of a thousand mourning banshees.
The Tourist (Trailer): Angelina still manages to purr on screen in 2 minute clip that unhelpfully suggests that Depp is a fall guy oh no he isn't he really is that guy ah ha ha fooled you all with our awesome twi fuck where is my gun kill me now.

Star Trek (2009): Fun movie but shine one more lens flare on that camera and I'll stick a fucking fork in your eye, JJ Abrams.
The Road: Great book, poorly translated into an unaffecting movie that doesn't evoke the source vividly enough or change it/take any leaps of faith to dive headfirst into something truly great.
No Country for Old Men: Great movie, but its pace didn't prevent me from sleeping off in the final third and missing the fact that the protagonist had died a great distance from any rolling camera.
Yeah, I know, heresy. I understand the reason for that ending but also hate it.
Avatar: If I were enough of a furry, that moment when I saw Sully's blue cat-person ass, I would have come in my pants.
I didn't though. Not enough limbs and my god all the cats had skinny asses. :(

Valhalla Rising: Part medieval buddy movie, part Euro arte noir, part brown acid trip, a gang of unlikely crusaders, toting their pet berserker, take a wrong turn at Iceland on their way to Jerusalem and plunge into a relentless, grueling and must-see meditation on the power of human hate, obsession and even love, with an occasional fuck you to the UFC.
