500 km? The European/Polish scale doesn't really obtain in the US. Think of it in terms of you being in Warsaw and she being in Plock (or the other way round).
A weekend once every two weeks actually sounds quite good. I've known very successful long-distance relationships in which for a long time the people involved actually met face to face less frequently than that.
Cookie Dough is right - the bad news love is hard work, and the good is that when there's hard work on both sides, distance is not much of an issue. Not to mention that if it's long distance vs. fate, the result is easy to predict:).
