I actually loved the STALKER ending (long one). genius. I agree it was presented sloppily but while I played the last-extra-level the implications of the noosphere popped up in my head now and then because I did not think it through when I was in the reactor. very nice. made me start the game all over again in an instant.

The endings I got were
Raining gold/bolts
Join the c-conscience thing
Refuse to join, which basically just chucked me outside to get monged by soldiers and beasties.
Are there other endings?

There are other 4 false endings beside 'I want to be reach' you got.

That "exploration" basically involves walking into a teleporter, fighting bad guys, entering the next teleporter, ... , enter the final teleporter.

You mean before or after the confrontation with the C-C?
Before it was pretty much a straight path to either the monolith or the C-C room.
After you refuse, you wake up outside, there are things coming after you and the whole area is surrounded by severe radiation that even the best science suit & artefacts can't block and rad patches only last so long. I explored what I could but couldn't see anything of use and kind of felt that it was an unfinished part of the game and left it at that.

Those are portals scattered around, not anomalies. They'll take you all over the power plant and eventually lead to the "true" ending. Declining to join C-Consciousness and getting dropped outside isn't the ending.

See, this is were I'm puzzled. I reckon I explored a good bit. I don't ever recall seeing any portals of any kind. Or any mention of them for that matter.
Maybe I should read a walkthrough and get directions to one.
In short, without giving anything away. Is there an ending sequence other than the ones I've seen. Will this portal shiz bring me to this ending and where do I go to find the 1st portal?

Yup, you'll get the 'happy ending' if you get through all the portals. Just look for the large white flashy things and walk into them.
