What do you think of a campain guys, to raise 1 million Dollars to buy back The thief Licence for TTLG ?
We could make a "true" thief 4 or Thief 5 that explains the mess in Thief 4 . Do you think we could bring thief Back to life ? and hire Stephen Russel ? SERIOUSLY !!! HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK SQUARE ENIX WANT TO SELL THE LICENCE BACK ???

1. We could never raise enough money to buy it. We couldn't even raise enough money to pay the legal fees for such a deal.
2. They would never sell it to a group of fans anyway.
3. Otherside Entertainment is planning to make a spiritual successor to Thief, but even they don't plan to try to acquire the license, because of the costs and the legal headaches involved. If an active development studio is taking that position, we don't stand a chance.
4. SE is probably planning to make a sequel to Thi4f so don't want to sell it.
5. This is the lamest April Fool's prank ever.

I just noticed you twice mentioned SE selling the rights to Thief back to TTLG.... TTLG has never owned the right to the franchise, so that makes no sense.
