Travel to an Impirial Shrine or Shrine of the Tribunal and donate 35 gold, then choose the 'Restor Attributes.'

Since a lowered strength can seriously impact how much of your loot you can carry, I always have some means (spell, item, scroll) of casting either "Divine Intervention" or "Almsivi Intervention". Nothing's worse than having to leave all your stuff in some Daedric Shrine in the middle of nowhere.

Can I get a restore attributes scroll or potion. Potions are unlikely, I'm an alchemist and I can't see how you'd do it given the limited number of ingredient slots.

Which attribute do you want to restore?
You can make restore strength, intelligence, willpower, agility, speed, endurance, personality, and luck potions. Some of the ingredients are more common than others and the "restore" quality is often list as third or four, but they are out there.
Simply make a potion with any two of the following ingredients:
Strength - stoneflower, gold kanet, dreughwax, scampskin
intelligence - bittergreen petal, scrap metal, ruby
Willpower - scrib jelly, trama root, scathscraw
Agility - sload soap, bone meal
Speed - resin, ebony
Endurance - scales, gravedust
Personality - scamp skin, heather, gaur hide
Luck - kresh fiber, green lichen, stone flower
By the way, I was wondering if anyone has found a second ingredient that fortifies attack or resists magicka? I know ghoul heart fortifies attack and ash salts resist magicka, but I haven't found a matching ingredient for either one. I suspect there isn't one for resist magicka, because ash salts have "resist magicka" as two of its qualities and I suspect this was a designer oversight. Also, vampire ashes have "vamperism" as their fourth quality. Does anyone know another ingredient with this quality? I don't really want a vamperism potion, but I find the idea amusing.:cheeky:
Good luck!

I don't think there are other ingredients with the effects you mentioned - but keep hoping to find them as cursed ingredients, as these won't stack and the cursed one can be combined with the non-cursed form to give all the effects of the ingredient. Got quite excited when I found a ghoul heart in a tomb but it wasn't cursed. (Ok, quite excited is an exaggeration, mildly jiggy maybe.. so wasn't too great a disappointment). Keep hoping for a cursed vampire dust - would be quite fun to have a potionthat could turn you into a vamp for a little while..

What do you mean by 'cursed'? Are those the items that, if you pick them up, a Daedra appears right next to and opens a can of wup ass?
Lacerta on 28/2/2003 at 16:29
That's the jobbies.. and they always seem to appear behind you.....

Are those ingredients special in some way? I've never noticed any cursed ingredients and I tend to raid the offerings whenever I am in a shrine...
Lacerta on 4/3/2003 at 11:18
You might not notice anything odd - it'd be quite easy to think that you're being attacked by a daedra you missed really. The items don't look any different and it doesn't always happen. If you pick up each of the items "offered up", usually at the foot of the statues in the shrines, one by one, quite slowly then you'll notice that when you pick up one of them (usually a daedra heart or a ruby - sometimes other stuff, notably two dwemer coins in the eye sockets of a skull) then a daedra will appear and attack you. The easiest way to id cursed stuff is that after you've picked it up it won't stack with other items in your inventory - i.e. for instance you'll have two seperate rubies showing in your misc inventory, rather than one ruby with a number two by it. This carries over to alchemy - so if you wanted to you could make a potion from the cursed ruby and a normal one (as effectively two different ingredients) and have all the effects of a ruby in a potion (not worth it!) So basically if you could find a sample of cursed vampire dust this would mean that you could create a potion with Vampirism as an effect :ebil: whether such a sample of cursed v-dust exists however, I just don't know?

Alchemy Ingredients with scripts (they will not stack and can be used with their normal counterpart) :
Daedra's Heart
Diamond
Emerald
Pearl
Raw Ebony
Ruby
No Ash Salt, Vampire Dust or Ghoul Heart.
