I've been in Thailand and didn't have an internet connection at home when I play, so I always played offline, and it doesn't accumulate time played.
Edit: I should have seen this before... The number above the saved game date has the time played, or more specifically the age of the character (since obviously it doesn't count time not saved). So my character is 83 hours 19 minutes old. And I'm level 31, so that's a rate of roughly 2.6 hours per level. Not quite the hundreds of hours of others yet (and I have played more if you added the re-loads), but respectable.

I reinstalled Skyrim today. To play Dragonborn. My old savefile (level 61) says: 237 hours played. That means I've probably spent around 350 hours playing the game.

Yeah, this is a Skryim forum ..... :)
When I think back at it, I wasted a lot of time playing WoW. I've had great fun, and met some great people. But I probably overdid it. I did have a lot of spare time in those days, so it doesn't really matter. But it's good that those days are long gone.
(Please God, keep give me the strength to resist buying PandaLand).
