I had a strage occurence happen to me while playing Arx today. Just after exiting the level 4 teleporter, I ran into a small group of goblins. Since I was at Level 9 with about 120 in spellcasting, I decided to summon a demon to kick their asses. Well, the spell worked, and it did that dimentional tear effect, but instead of the familiar floaty scaily evil demon of doom popping out, there was this woman in gold ylside armor. She promptly proceeded to whomp me with paralize, curse, and maybe some other spells, and beat me over the head with a sword of a size that would make Squaresoft envious.
Now, what I want to know is, was that supposed to happen? Who or what the hell was that woman, and why did it only happen this one time? After reloading a savegame, then trying the same spell in the same spot, on the same goblins, I got the expected demon attack, not a turbo speed thrashing babe of beatdowns. What caused this? Did I do the spell wrong? was there a certain sequence of events that lead to this? Or is it just a big conspiracy?
(I also have heard of rumors indicating a secret area called "Arkane". Are they related? Where is this "Arkane", and how do you get there? Is there an official name for this golden mystery character, or what, exactly? I need answers, dammit!)

well i know that if u summon a demon too early you cant control it and must fight it.
maybe u summoned something more powerful, a demon u cant control. or maybe this is part of the plot to stop you, like how the rat man occasionally throws a dagger at you and dissappears

That's what happens when you cast MEGA-MEGA-MEGA-AAM-VITAE-TERRA. Sometimes it even summons an invincible rat :ebil:

Lemme clarify something:This was not a demon, or any other summoned creature. There was no mana drain after the spell was cast, and I couldn't banish it. Even the spell icon dissapeared.
I cast invisibility befor the summoning, as unless you use the movis commuinicatum, the demon will attack you, and I didn't have the communicatum rune at the time. This...thing...could see me, even while invisible, and would attack no matter where I ran to. It was like fighting an Ylside and a Lich rolled into one. High level spellcaster, with super tough armor, turbo speed, and a sword with maybe +40 dmg. Whatever it was, it totally freaked me out. The battle with Akbaa was easier than fighting it.

I tried that megamegamega spell, and got that she-ylside.
Then I got a turbo rat. (Killable, but whatta fight, both of them.)
But, what happened to me above was not me casting the megamegamega spell, but the regular aam vitae tera spell. Something goofed.

heh. though the squaresoft comment way funny, im pretty sure cloud would give anything there a run for their money. yes you mustve miscast the spell she is an easter egg along with the unholy rat from hell. i think she is satan :) i havent done the spell myself, but it seems that if you kill her she drops you some real nice items.
