I'm stuck with the second clue.
[spoiler]It said something like try to see what cannot be seen beneath the goblin prison. Is that the room where I originally fell down from the prison? I tried using the "Reveal" spell everywhere in that room and in some rooms nearby that are also under the prison.[/spoiler]

Try using Reveal in the room the wall of which you knocked down with the pickaxe. :)

really really dumb question.... where is oliver? I found the message both in the demo and in the full version, but never seem to have found (or at least identified) him and his chest...

I opened the chest and got the first clue. went specifically to where the next note would be. Looked under all the rocks. Found nothing. I checked and i am in the right room. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance... :thumb:

I don't know, but maybe using the shovel would help?
[spoiler]For another clue, I was supposed to use the shovel in a specific place, but I didn't have to, the note was lying on the ground. So maybe in your case it might be the opposite?[/spoiler]

Nah, it's just all but buried in the ground... IIRC, only a corner of the 2nd note sticks out of the ground. Really quite irritating.

I just read the note in the troll caves and went down to level 3 and into the hidden room that you bust the wall down with the pickaxe (room 4 according to arx.rpgdot guide). I am level 7 and have all runes - I've cast reveal while facing every square inch of the damn walls in that room and don't see anything interesting.

Try casting it on the ground. It will appear on the ground as a sign you can click on.
FRAK make sure you read the note in the tavern on the wall. This triggers the rest of the hunt. If you opened the chest without reading the note in the tavern, then the note under the rocks will never appear. I know because this happened to me. :O) Just restore a save before opening the chest and then read the note on the tavern wall, then open the chest and start the hunt.
