Oh my sweet Jesus with a resigned grin and an empty bottle of scotch, what if it's all true?
(http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/gate/archive/2007/02/02/notes020207.DTL) Church of Scientology proclaims Tom Cruise is the Messiah!Of course! It all makes sense now... the preaching, the condemnation, the theatrics that put tent-revivals to shame, the ... dare I say "God-complex"? And, naturally... he was criticized and ostracized for his actions (couch-jumping anyone?) which clearly were only attempts to enlighten and help... for the good of mankind. The man is obviously simply tragically misunderstood, as are all those born to greatness and touched by the divine.
And now if you all will excuse me, I just threw up in my mouth... :eww:

In a word: Fuck.
Really, just holy freaking shit. CRUISE? Mister mission impossible? The big time asshole? Maybe the apocalypse really IS coming....
Edit: Ms. Ledd, I thought you died in the jelli baff.

Wait, wait, wait, I don't see how this should work.

EDIT: I'd like to say that I didn't delete this pic which showed Cruise with a glory shine. Imageshack did it. Which proves that...
IMAGESHACK IS RUN BY SCIENTOLOGY!

Forget the topical musings and make with the drunken, out-of-focus nipple shot--this is the internet (and TTLG at that) you know, not a slumber party!
What will Dawkins do now...

Not meaning to spoil anyone's fun or to defend either the despicable T.C. or the Church of Scamology, the essay posted cites as its source the briefest of articles in the Sun (great bastion of truth though it may be) and that article refers only to the opinion of someone "close to the actor" and alleged quotes by the present leader.
That's a little shy of a proclamation. I couldn't find any references from the holy of hollywood itself. Anyone have more direct evidence?
By all means rip away though - enough disparaging remarks can hardly be made...

In a showdown Cruise vs. Xenu my money is on the latter.

Well you must admit the idea is validated by the immaculate conception of his offspring.
