Ford is not interested in anything other than delaying
None of us know her true motive in resisting to appear on Mon, but it doesn't need to matter. I would make the investigation independent but time limited, and not negotiate terms of appearance with either party. They would be asked to appear before the judiciary committee and/or its representative counsel immediately after the FBI is done, and if they didn't appear they would simply lose their opportunity to respond to whatever the FBI might turn up. If nothing conclusive comes out of this, the Senators would just have to vote their conscience.
At the moment, things are going nowhere fast. A soon as the allegation hit the press, it became a political litmus test, and it seems like both parties are using it to energize their base.

I hope Ford can delay the nomination for a few months. And then the Democrats take the House and the Senate in November. And they'll say: "we're not gonna approve any of Trump's candidates for the Scotus. Because the people have spoken, the House and Senate belong to the Democrats. We're gonna wait until 2022 when we have a Democrat President, Democrat House and Democrat Senate. Till then, nobody gets appointed".
That will teach them Republican fuckers.
Well, the prevalence of that attitude on both sides guarantees that there won't be a fair outcome. Both Kavanaugh and Ford will be scarred and villified by half the country no matter what actually happened.

Or maybe she wants to prevent another sexual abuser from occupying highest court in the land for the next two generations.

The person that should be demanding an FBI investigation is Kavanaugh, to clear his name.
And no matter what anybody says, Republicans kept a Supreme Court seat empty for over a year, so all these deadlines are unequivocal BS.

The FBI investigating this would be the best option. It's their job anyway and it took them what, 2 days to investigate Anita Hill's claims? Also, lying to the FBI is a crime, so there's at least some incentive to tell the truth for the people questioned.
Kavanaugh is going to get confirmed either way (as if Republicans care about sexual assault allegations) and then the Democrats can impeach him or whatever when they have the numbers.

Isn't it odd that the so called liar is asking for the investigation, and the so called truther is not?

Yep, lie detector, DNA, investigation, talking to everyone at the party, whatever they wanted. If someone accused me of this stuff, I'd say: "Give me a polygraph, right now!"

She doesn't know where it was. When it was , DNA? Give me a break. Republicans should just confirm him Monday

When I was fifteen, I was in the back of a car loaded with too many people and went to parties when I didn't know what street we drove to, or even the last name of the person's house. Almost every party. Don't act like that's so unusual or suspicious.
You are getting downright obtuse and belligerent jk

Again. She's making stupid demands and has nothing. Without details who are they supposed to interview? It's a wild goose chase that's only meant to delay the inevitable
15 years old. Party not at her house. Did she drive there? Walk? It's obvious she was alone since NO ONE ELSE KNOWS ABOUT IT , thanks for mentioning your friends. Obvious that at 15 she got to go places on her own w/o any friends or supervision , she found her way to the party but can't remember how she got there or how she got back , and went about her way after facing near death w/o telling a single soul at school ....
