her story changed, she lied about flying.................what else do you want?
An investigation. What do you want, jk, a sexual predator on the SCOTUS?
jkcerda on 27/9/2018 at 21:18
investigation into what? ALL the people Ford mentioned have said she was wrong, her testimony changed and lied about flying before she did not know dates, how she got there, who was there, where the house was whose house it was, NOW she knows it was 15 minutes from her school or so , she can fly as often as she wants etc etc etc.
you are all getting played.

Once again, an allegation without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence...without need for investigation.

Investigation into the background of the nominee. Y'know, like it always happens when new information comes to light.
Not this he said she said bullshit, a real investigation with witnesses being questioned and all.
jkcerda on 27/9/2018 at 21:21
hes had 6 investigations............... and it seems democrats have questioned everyone mentioned and everyone mentioned have denied what Ford has said..................

And you KNOW there is no evidence. How do you KNOW this, Vae? When are you going to share your secret?

One is not required to prove a negative.

An FBI investigation probably won't bring anything new to light, other than getting a few statements already made under oath.
The funny thing about Vae's tact is that he's arguing his usual emotional angle, ignoring the fact it's the Republicans who have been regularly breaking under pressure. Graham's has hardly shown himself as being as impartial as he's tried to claim, and Kavanaugh has been alternating between screaming, crying, and outright displays of anger, while giving curt responses to questions that should be expanded upon, and entirely dodging others during his testimony.
It doesn't prove he's guilty, but it does look a little shitty. Considering that this is primarily a trial of character, none of this has done any favors for the Republicans.
The only people who think this is an outright victory are the hard Republican base. Of course Democrats would think the opposite, that's a given, but it seems the independents, the largest voting voting bloc in the country, are leaning more towards Ford's testimony in this instant, entirely due to her performance vs. Kavanaugh's.

Proving a negative does not enter into this -- this is not a trial, it's a job interview. But one is required to investigate the background of a nominee, and the background check can be reopened after new information comes to light, like it happened with Anita Hill and other cases.
Also, FBI can do more than just get a few statements -- they can interview witnesses and ask them follow-up questions, for example.

They could make this into a full blown investigation, taking a year or more to gather as much evidence as possible to come to a solid conclusion. But considering that Kavanaugh isn't being charged with any federal crimes, and the window of opportunity to prove anything is only a couple of months at most, and the stakes are entirely political, they're not gonna go above and beyond.
