Oh my god. They've done it. This takes all rights away. - by Outlooker

How in the name of all that's holy is that a misquote? At worst, it's taking it out of context by not including your caveat, but it's sure as hell not a misquote.
Convict on 5/10/2006 at 11:51
I thought it was a misquote by replacing my comma (which led to my caveat) with a full stop (which made it out of context).
Either way you know what I mean.

Also merely because someone disagrees with you doesn't give you the right to resort to insults.
I disagree, the simple joy of insulting you is almost mandatory in these discussions! Sometimes it's the only point, since you're not especially bright or receptive.
Oops, there I go again.
It has nothing to do with "rights", and everything to do with politeness. I choose not to be polite to you.

You could have done that at the start and saved Paz a lot of bother.
Haha, yeah, seriously. But then I wouldn't have got to throw the insults around! So it's not all bad.
Anyway, it helps keep the mind sharp for dealing with idiots.

Yeh I dunno, I have never caught wind of any real controversy with the detention centres, apart from the ridiculous beaurocracy entailed within. Just because we don't make it easy to get out of the suckers doesn't mean we belt the shit out of the inmates.
I honestly would have thought that if there were human rights violations the media here would have been all over it.
Yes, given that anyone can walk right up to the fence and look inside the centres and see what's going on in there as well as directly talking with those inside.
A slight difference to the US's recent proclivity for secret torture camps spread out all over the world.
The detention centres have a lot of issues, but they're not the "arbitrary detention camps" demagogue tried to make out they were when he confused Australia for Oceania and our democratic commonwealth for Ingsoc.

I appreciate that the traditional Australian method of forcibly removing these children from their families and relocating them with Nice White Families is no longer available
When you can't argue from the facts, toss around ad hominems, this must be a post by Strontium Dog!*

Minor drugdealers probably have a better living inside a prison than outside.
Minor drugdealers are like my middle-class bohemian friend who hitchhiked across the country just for the experience. His life would most definitely NOT be better in prison no matter how goddamn posh you think it is.
Oh wait your point was drug laws only affect poor minorities so who gives a shit anyway. My mistake, carry on.

Your friends are minor drug dealers?

I personally prefer to think of it that my drug dealers are friends.

I think that's the first rule in the book.
