What Geforce card does the x1950 pro compare too?

That would be 7950.

I'd say it compares more to the X1900 XTX as far as performance goes.

Hmmm...I've been playing with 75% textures with a 7800GT and 1 GB of Ram and I don't get too much stuttering. Could be that I have shadow/grass quality/object detail turned down lower, though.
Will try 50% textures if it comes to that, though.

I've been playing with everything maxed except static lighting on an x800pro, and getting good framerates. It just stutters a bit when I come into range of a large group of stalkers (especially in the bar area). I think it's just taking a while to load in the portraits for the contacts section, and that should be fixed if I defrag my hard drive. I just haven't felt like it because I'm about to format it.

Excessive stuttering is caused by large textures. Try to lower texture quality one step down and watch how your performance improves. In my case, 75% textures are too much for my 7600GT and 1GB RAM (the small ram would be the primary problem I think) so I have to satisfy myself with 50% ones.

I get around 60 - 70 FPS average on max settings 1024 x 768 + 16xAF/0xAA. But I get these irritating long-time stutters every now and then, it's especially bad in the level where the Freedom base is in.
