When I run T3 (the game) on my laptop via the "T3 launching tool" from dracflamloc, the game runs very well. The laptop has a NVidia mobile 6800 chip, 1 GB ram, and the latest in mobile processors. I can climb, pick locks, and move around as if playing on my desktop.
When running the editor, however, I get some really weird results. First, it's really slow, but I chalk that up to the editor. I always run by using the "Send to Xbox" trick. But the real oddities are that the laptop slows to a crawl when I want to pick locks or climb walls, plus I don't get the right experience. When trying to pick a lock, I never see the lock-picking interface with the tumblers, although I see the 2 icons on the left and right that show the hands are busy (circle thingies). As for climbing, if I jump onto a wall, I hang for a few seconds, and then I just falls back down. Again, I get the "busy hands" icons, but I can't climb.
The exact same map runs fine on my desktop PC. Is there a configuration or anything that might explain this behavior? Anyone else see this?
