Yay, I hope it is delayed. If they want to do more on it then I sure as hell don't mind.

I prefer my instant gratification over bug fixes.

I think this is great. My main gripe with Morrowind was that they apparently skipped beta testing altogether since the game shipped with horrible bugs and gameplay issues. This time they seem to be more serious about quality assurance.

While I would rather have the game now (I spent more than $1500 on a new computer in July solely for Oblivion, and have been looking forward to the game ever since) I am also reminded of a cave in Morrowind that hadn't been linked properly. Once a player wandered into the cave, they were stuck indefinitely unless they had a recall spell. Not so bad for PC players, but devastating for those on the XBox!
I just hope that the game is just as good as I think it will be.

It's not really the "fanboys" who are complaining (quite the opposite), if you look at most forums, (especially the TES forums) you'll notice the only people who are complaining, are the same people whom have been whining ever since the first previews.
They seem to believe that Bethesda owe them, and now that Oblivion has been delayed, (though still no unconfirmation)(
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183826) they believe Bethesda has stabbed them in the back yet again.
One part of me really hopes it ships 'Holidays 2005' and is a excellent game; Just so I can see how some of the whiners eat their words, and claim they always had faith in Beth, even though some of them have already claimed Oblivion is going to be the biggest disappointment ever.
But we'll just have to wait and see, though some people apparently aren't capable of this even. Waiting.
Sorry for for my little rant. Just tried of people believing they own the developers.

apparently we differ in our definition of "fanboy". Mine being the people you just so perfectly described:thumb:

From everything I've heard, stores (both online and offline) try to give the buyer the soonest ETA. That way they'll get more preorders in a smaller amount of time.
When did we get new icons? *looks up to the 'RPG' banner quizzically*
