Ok, did I miss a thread about this?
GameSpot now has Oblivion coming out for PC on November 21!
Which is perfect, because it means I can set aside most of the Thanksgiving 4-day weekend to playing it. I think I might be a little too excited for this.
Couldn't find anything on BethSoft's site, but then again, I didn't look that hard.

No official announcment, so take any release dates with a grain of salt. Maybe on a cracker.

There is alot of varing reports, some said 1st, some 21st and some 25th but they all say november. I am expecting around the 25th of november but I think that is just the US preorder, other countries might have to wait. But its close enough to get excited about.
PS. I set aside next year to play it, it will be first year university and probably working a bit but all the spare time will go to oblivion (and perhaps stretch my legs snowboarding or eating)

If I don't see some damn shadows in some screenshots I'm boycotting it. And some windows. And some big dungeons. I mean BIG. :grr:

Hmm, if it is this soon, hope my graphics card can handle it at a decent framerate.
edit: Well, (

Here is the standard set of specs used in what appears to be the "standard" dev machine, according to the German magazine GameStar:
* AMD AthlonXP 2500+ or 2600+ (Barton Core, 333MHz FSB)
* 1024MB (1GB) RAM
* ATi Radeon 9800pro, AGP with 256MB video RAM

For some reason that screenshot of the deer/antelope cracks me up :D

Something about staring straight into the headlights of a car... or in this case shiny armor. I hope this is the correct date!

I'm not sure where you aren't seeing shadows... ?
Me? There is a difference between lighting and shadows. Also watch the video, especially certain parts, and then tell me there are shadows (where they should be...)

Actually, shronk is right on this one. If you notice there are no real time rendered "shadows", lots of amazing shading/bump maps going on though. For example, the screenie with the fireplace... look at the actual floor directly below the lower mantle, its "lit up like a dutch brothel" as lambart would say. Although, that could be the xbox 360 version so who knows maybe PC users will have the option to enable real time shadowing. Either way doesn't bother me, its going to be incredible no matter what the case. If it means me being able to play it at a decent framerate, i can stick to shaders :angel:
