Gamophyte, i know this well:
1. You should have express permission, period.
2. You should credit original creator, who gave said permission.
but even still there are members here that don't want any object that was not made for dromed, even if the author of the object in question allows me to host it in object repository.
for example if i post here a grill object and i have permission from the author to host it in object repository there will still be members here who will oppose to that, "No! you´re destroying the taffers spirit by introducing an object made by an outsider!"
You´re right Mike i don't need to bother myself with the divergences here, some will be against eating meat, others are against drinking alchool, other hate Jesus christ, and so on, i will focus on my mission, besides i´m currently on the final settings which are also very time consuming.
I prefer not upload anything at all , regardless with or without permission there will be always someone people here protesting. Imagine that even to use the DC objects there are fear among some members. well you should be afraid, FBI might be one day at your home door wherever you are living.
Larry G didn't you understand ? even if i respect the rules there will be always someone here protesting.

Maybe it would be better if the Object Repository had a webpage for links to other object source sites.
It does: (
http://spirited-tech.com/thief/objectsites/)
It's a bit of a short list, but the first link is to our very own Custom Resources thread.

But even still Rsoul seems to be waiting your opinions
even if i am allowed by the author to host it anywhere, even if the object in question is properly credit, but even like this is still a problem for some people.
The bold part has nothing do to with the opinions I am asking for. Here it is again: If an object can be legally downloaded, but not converted and hosted on any other site, should TOR allow a screenshot and a link to the original download page? It cannot be guaranteed that these objects have not been ripped from other games. Should that fact prevent their links being shared, or can we share the links and put 100% of the responsibility on the target sites?

others will want only objects that fits into thief world.
There is nothing in the Terms and Conditions that restricts the type of object that can be uploaded. I know some people mocked the modern objects you uploaded, but that was just a distraction from the problem of lack of permission/credit. However, it should be noted that if you're going to spend time and effort uploading an object, it would be wise to consider how many people could use it. Most FMs are set in the normal Thief timeline/world, so very few people would download a computer desk, for example.

so many issues just to use a pin or a nail.
Only two issues: permission and credit. In a previous post I said I expected to see permission, but I was angry at the time. I'll only ask anyone to show that permission if that person has tendency to not get it.

The only opinions that matter are those of the moderators of the Object Repository site. As long as you follow the rules, they will be happy, I'm sure.

well i hope you´re right cause i got the impression that Rsoul needs approval from other members here.

That website makes its licensing terms clear. The non-commercial license adds to the terms of the personal-use license.
Rather than asking about each object, assume the answer is "no" unless there's something on the download page, or the website, that makes it clear that hosting off-site is allowed, or you ask the author and get a "yes".

No, I was asking for opinions on a very specific situation.
Thank you for the other links. I'll put them on the links page.

Ok Robin, i guess i have no other option than don't upload objects from other sites.
