Is it somehow possible then when you click an image to enlarge it to open a new Tab or overlay instead of using the same tab?

Why not simply delete all these objects, scrape this section and move on? I doubt anyone would be interested with "average modern chair n°2940" or "Hideous modern closet n°924"

None of this should come as much of a surprise. Pedro has been using commercial textures, sounds, and music in all of his FMs for years now. I think he just has a completely different concept from everyone else on what is acceptable use and what isn't.

I know I flirt with legality and fair use compliance with the usage of loops taken from commercial music in my missions, but I do at least ALWAYS fully attribute the artist and work in my FM readme file. I've been sure to do that in videos I upload to YouTube also, and so far two of them have had copyright claims on the music, but they allowed the video to stay up because I gave full attribution to the artist in each case. (They also gain the right to monetize those videos with ads, but I doubt they would bother since my videos mostly have fewer than 500 views.)

So as a matter of fact, what some people here are trying to say is: Uploading something that is not of your own making and attribute it to "Unknown author" when the author is clearly known, that is what I call a douche move. Period. Don't do it.

My opinion --
Somewhere the Object Repository should state that uploading stuff which you don't have the right to distribute is a no-no. Not properly attributing authorship for stuff you upload is also bad. The site should also state that it will remove any such items on notice and that persistent violators will be banned. It might also declare that is not responsible for material posted by it's members.

Another problem is that if an object not allowed is used in one FM and subsequently borrowed for another, the credit might go to the author who made the fm. As resources might be borrowed for yet even more FM's this content could be spread out everywhere.

A possibility. But not an Object Repository issue. The Object Repository is only responsible for the resources it hosts.
Each mission author is responsible for doing his or her best to ensure permission to use for all resources in their missions.
