I wonder if Obama is aware of all the .gifs and photoshops of him.

i like Obama's vibe, but i'm always slightly concerned about economic policies with a guy like him.
Granted, it's not like Bush, Paulson, and Co. haven't fuggered up the place already (and how could i forget Greenspan). And whomever wins is going to get a shit-stain on their face about the economy regardless.
We never can seem to get a good mix. It seems at best we get two out of three in terms of domestic policy, foreign policy, and economic policy. Obama may bat well on the first two but the third is iffy. Populist pandering and economically sound policy don't usually go hand-in-hand. It's a tough road to walk in my two cent opinion.
At any rate, GWB is 0/3 so anything should be better lol. i guess some could argue that maybe his tax cuts helped things a little, but still...

But--but--then they wouldn't be Democrats...
Democrats + "
THE loaded gun" = shot in the foot
No lie. If Kerry couldn't beat Bush, theres no way Obama will beat McCain. Plus, most of America isn't ready for a black president. Not my opinion, I'm just saying in the last election the conservatives seemed to come out of the woodwork in the eleventh hour to re-elect Bush. Think on that - despite all he's done, the guy got re-elected! How bad of a candidate do you have to be, John Kerry?

There is no real comparison of Bush to McCain (except on policy issues), nor is there any comparison between Kerry and Obama.
Debating the issues as if we know what the outcome will be is pointless, but comparing this election to 2004 is pretty pointless.
Also Kerry was a pretty terrible candidate. How did he even become the nominee?

McCain's campaign is in shambles, the fact that he is now trying to co-opt Barack's message--you know, the thing Barack is really good at--just shows how much trouble the Republicans are in this year.
McCain needs to find himself quick or November is going to be a slaughter.

I always laugh when I hear this, mostly from folks like Sharpton, Jackson and various members of the Wright brigade.
These hucksters don't want Obama to win..because once/if he does their 'victimization routine' cash-cow is going to go tits up in a major way.
It certainly hasn't gone unnoticed that the lion's share of the harshest attacks against Obama have come from the black community, most directly from the camps of those mentioned above.
If America isn't ready, it's not merely because of whitey this time around.

heretic, not agreeing or disagreeing, but i will say that all the Obama supporters i know are caucasian.

What heretic said.
Al Sharpton is at the top of my "People Who've Shat All Over the Vision of Martin Luther King Jr. and Need To Be Hit in the Face with a Shovel Repeatedly" list. (PWSAOVMLKJNTBHFSR - TM, for short) :nono:
I also have a "Things I Care About Even Less Than Angelia Jole and Brad Fucking Pitt," list (TICAELTAJBFP - TM), but I'll save that for a different thread.

Racism and discrimination will still exist even IF Obama is elected. His victory is not an excuse for white people to throw up their hands and dismiss every complaint as baseless because "Hey, one of you is in the White House, so everything is fair -- end of story".
In fact, I predict a rise in covert racsim if Obama DOES win. A form of protest by the closet racists who didn't want him to win for purely racial reasons.

I don't agree with this at all. There were a few (lame) complaints from some that Barack wasn't "
Black enough" since his mother is white. But overall we have been overwhelmingly in favor of him. Just look at the voting percentages.
