(For a brief chuckle; scroll through the 'more from drinking with bob' panel)
Anyway, first they give homeopath kook Bill Maher the Richard Dawkins award and now this.
I'll never trust another awards ceremony.

Not sure if you're trying to be funny or not. I'm not laughing either way.

Why aren't inbreeding penalties more rigid?
Tocky on 11/10/2009 at 03:05
Because it is self penalizing?
I did get a bit of a laugh out of the Taliban spokesman saying he should have gotten the award for escalating violence and killing civillians. Obama is no where near as black as that pot.

I wouldn't worry too much about that guy, I predict death by stroke within the next four months.

I just finished watching Chris Matthews. There's a few minutes left, and they're going to talk about whether Obama can "earn it", even though he's already won it. For me, the head scratcher was this; the deadline for nominations was when he was only in office for two weeks.

He had a life before the White House, you know...

the committee referred to his last nine months as prez, even though he'd been nominated after 11 days as prez.

This is the best commentary so far on the whole thing. It gave me a little more context and now I'm of the opinion that yes, he did deserve the prize, based on it's history and intent.

No doubt in a minority of 1, I think he deserves it if only because, for me, the US is no longer the scariest nation on earth.
