Oh, and the myriad of left-leaning news sources, such as The Huffington Post, DailyKos, MSNBC, etc and the ones that still have a reputation for balance (even though they've long since gone hard to the left in the last decade or so), like Time and Newsweek, are always completely intellectually honest and in search of the complete, unvarnished truth, no matter if it makes their side look bad or not, right?
Don't make me laugh.
I also love how people bitch to high heaven about Fox News, a cable channel which people purchase of their own free will, while not caring at all that as Americans we are forced to pay tax dollars for PBS, a channel which routinely broadcasts left-wing propaganda like Bill Moyer's Journal.
I'll just stand by my original statement that it's that kind of ridiculous paranoia about leftwing propoganda that makes it hard to take the right seriously. You're a motherfucking joke.
You've pointed out a number of publications that are clearly and obviously Left wing websites. No argument there. The difference is that where the left leaning sites may espouse a view, they are not the fringe lunatics of the movement given a mouthpiece.
Nor are Time and Newsweek on anyone's "side" except to the extent that, you know, reality has a well known liberal bias.

You'll note that I never said they controlled all the media. So instead of attacking
my reading skills, maybe you ought to check yours.
Well, if that's what you meant, in that case you ought to tighten up your writing because you certainly implied exactly what I stated when you wrote:
I don't believe in the so-called "liberal media" that so many like to spew, but outside of Fox News I don't believe in a conservative-controlled media either.
Not my fault that you're a shitty writer. Toodles.

He is operating off the assumption that strong liberalism is "moderate" while strong conservativism is "whacko".
I believe that "moderate" and "whackjob" are words that should be careful to throw around: You'd be hard pressed to find hate speech (for example) even on Fox News. The closest thing is the coverage given to the Bush/Obama = Hitler hype, which could be construed as endorsement.

So what did we learn from this moment? For one thing, we learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old.
Quote:
at this point, the guiding principle of one of our nation’s two great political parties is spite pure and simple. If Republicans think something might be good for the president, they’re against it — whether or not it’s good for America.
Quote:
The key point is that ever since the Reagan years, the Republican Party has been dominated by radicals — ideologues and/or apparatchiks who, at a fundamental level, do not accept anyone else’s right to govern.
Eight years they had. Eight years to fuck up the financial world. To fuck up your own economy. To give huge and huge amounts of money to the military-industrial complex. Money taken from ordinary US citizens. Eight years to protect the interest of the Bush clan and their cronies and their oil-friends. Eight years to fuck up the middle-east and increase tension between the muslim and non-muslims. Eight years to sacrifice thousands of your own young men in pointless wars.
And now that the majority of the US population said: "enough with that crap", the Republicans cry like little babies who can't have it their way. Stamping their feet. Yelling at everything that moves.
Fucking pathetic.

Bush wasn't mastermind, yes. But it was Obama who (for the first time since 1989) made Polish people (so far one of the most devoted ally from Europe) fucking angry about America. Good job. :p
