This is really bad. Now that politicians can't bitch about war in Iraq, they will turn to more reasonable things.
Solving the Chandra Levy case?

Yes, but Koki's were more realistic.

I'd much rather argue about video games than how many foreigners it is proper to kill, thankyouverymuch.

How many foreigners is it proper to kill in a videogame?

I do hope they can have a break before going to Afghanistan.
I fear that won't happen. they have already commenced a troop build-up in Afghanistan. Since we are running out of fresh reserves to send to the Middle East, I suspect that troopers who are being "withdrawn" will be offered a sweet little bonus to stay on that side of the pond.

I have no problem with troops going to Afghanistan, there are actually some bad guys there.
Okay, sure, we're kinda responsible for them in the first place, but still, you know...

The promises made to Afghanistan need to be kept. A lot of people have exposed themselves to retaliation from the Taliban by supporting the western presence there and to abandon them would be unforgivable.
If the a fraction of the resources squandered in Iraq had been applied to Afghanistan instead (as was agreed by NATO in the first place), things would be greatly improved there instead of barely hanging on. Nine years of roads, schools, hospitals, satellite internet, junk food and pron would have mellowed them a good deal. Bomb with chocolate! That's the way you do it.
Then we would have a place to send captured Taliban for re-education, putting the Bamyan Buddhas back together. Ought to keep them occupied for a while.
