I may repeat shoots of certain locations because A)they're conveniently close to me and B)why the Hell not?, if it's pretty once, it's pretty twice! :D
SE - To be able to become a tourist in your own city helps in finding what to take photographs of. Also, even the mundane can become amazing with the right composition and, if necessary, retouching. :) If it's not a willow, what is it then? :o
dema - Quack! :D
raph - Man, come down over here. I'll let you crash at my place (don't worry, I have a sofabed so you don't have to sleep with me :P), we can do an epic photo tour! \:D/ In the meantime, I appreciate any tips and critique you can offer, seeing how you've continued engaging passionately into photography while I've kind of let it slip. So I'm trying to retake it in full again.
CCCToad & dethy - Alas, a lot of homeless/junkies/crazies that get in your face at times. Just bothersome, not dangerous. I'm sorry for their plight, but peeps, let me be! :-/
Dia - Thank you, girl. Not as beautiful as you though. :3
Azaran - Thank you, thank you! :)
Hewer - Thank you, been trying to use the Rule of 3rds to a T (more or less, heh). :)

Where's the snow?
I want it to be snowing when I head over in October!
Mr.Duck on 6/4/2013 at 09:10
It rarely snows in Vanc. Usually 2 or 3 times per year if it's a good year from what I've heard. Though Burnaby Mountain does get all the chills due to higher elevation and all that. Remember, Vancouver has the mildest weather as far as the major Canadian cities go. And be thankful every moment of it. ;)

I especially love that first shot of this second set- Great compositional dynamics keeps your eye moving. It's a pleasure.

Thank you for the compliments, Hewer!

I do like your sunset shots MrDuck. I love sunsets. We used to get the most amazing skies in Africa, even now if I turn on the TV and blunder into an African sunset I instantly know its Africa before its revealed in other ways. There is something about the colour, the quality of the colour or the contrast of the vegitation that I feel isn't in other sunsets. There is something wild about it... I can hear the calls, smell the dust, feel the drums.

As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like a lepress above the Serengeti
You seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that you've become...
Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you
SubJeff on 7/4/2013 at 14:11
Ha ha. I knew someone would think I was being silly.
I'm not, fwiw. I grew up on compounds in the bush and at night you'd hear drums from nearby villages so often that it was part of the night soundscape as much as the sounds of the insects and the call of the beasts.
And it's rises "like a lepress", not "like Olympus". Kili is almost double the height of piddly little Olympus anyway so that comparison would be silly.
