There is one particular door in the Brooklyn shipyard level that provides infinite skill points. It is the one in the building with the armoury, on the top level ledge. Every time it is opened, you get 30 points. I assume that is not news.
Here is the question: when I exploit that bug ofthen - say - for 15000 skill points, the game crashes frequently afterwards. Did anybody else experience this?

Hell, you've really got to much time on your hands. Besides, exploiting bugs sucks :P
As for the rest .. I have absolutely no idea.

The game crashes after 15000 skill points because that's how long it takes Ion Storm to figure out that someone is abusing their Door of Unmlimited Skill Points (tm). ;)
Or, it could just be a really tired computer. And no, this has never happened to me. What are you planning for your next Silent Project?

Hmm, I remember JC got the points only twice both times I tried it. Which version have you got, Luthien?

Hm, 1.112f or something like that. Give or take a few '1's. I think it's the latest available patch.

I guess this has to wait until I find out how to slip through the cathedral window in THC (Thief). Let's get the priorities right: 1. Thief, 2. Thief, 3. Thief, 4. Thief2, 5. Everything else :)

DId you ever play "decathlon" on the C64? You learn to press keys and move the joystick really fast there. You can still use that training in many modern games. So it actually took only about five minutes.

Yeah, sure. I would just have been an opportunity to try out some of the skills I never have the points to spend for :)

The latest one is 1.114.
Luthien on 23/1/2003 at 11:32
Hm, I found an 1.014f and an 1.112f patch, but not 1.114.
