Yes, that makes it sound like Erin is still around.

Looks like touchpads have their own special websites with new features, so many people won't see it. Notice the website is called,

If this is the case it's only marginally held better than Megan in DX HR, who until release I didn't realise was supposed to be thought dead. I thought it would be known from the start she was alive it was that obvious.

This is one thing that bothers me immensely with the story. Why do a reboot but draw a clear line to the old lore?
Dia on 14/10/2013 at 12:12
That's a point that I wondered about as well, Shinrazero. My guess is that's part of the lip-service EM is paying to the hard core fans of the original games. There would have to be some recognizable aspects of the original Garrett if EM intended to pawn off NuGarrett as The Master Thief.

Or they recognise that the setting is great but feel that certain elements are best left out.
Kind of like the Thief fans who don't like the undead levels.

Personal feelings of different aspects, are irrelevant to the highest priority of persistence and congruence of a simulated universe...and as stewards, EM has failed to maintain the engines of its creation.

Yes...It's a marketing lure, designed to bait THIEF community members with fondly associated branding elements...a strategy that has backfired, insulting the intelligence of many.

When I realized the traces of lore were going to be nothing more than irksome reminders of what the game should have been, I gave up on the game. I just don't want to play that.
