Yup. That's what I'm saying. I love how grand the island is and the immense fun of just exploring it all, but if you are going to send me to find someone, give me better directions. I hate this in Morrowind. Thankfully I am done with those Redoran quests. I really was going to go insane with the first one.

Great, I am just about to begin with the Redoran quests.

Originally posted by Damodred Hehehe, I almost did that. Still looking for Nehuleft (sp?), supposedly WEST of Tel Vos. I went west. Far west. No ruin :D I'll keep looking though. I may have went too far south instead of north (or vice versa).
The map shows "something" a bit to the north, maybe that's it...It's unmarked though...
But please...WEST of Tel Vos? Pfffft. Like, do I walk an hour or two days west? Hehehe.
D. I eventually DID find it. It was almost exactly SOUTHwest. Arg. Still, I can't say I'm complaining, I had a fun time trapping alit souls (I'm still practicin') and zapping a really scary looking Ogrim which fell over after 2 "greater shockballs" and a poke from my ebony sword. The anticipation of impending doom almost killed me, the Ogrim was a pushover. Or I got lucky and they have weakness to lightning, heh! All in all, a fun trip. Nehuleft was a letdown though. There's like what, 4 small rooms in there, and hardly anything of interest. I need bigger ruins :D
Sometimes the NPCs give TOO detailed directions. You know how the Vivec Upper waistworks are laid out? Shops on either side (let's say east/west), exits to north/south, and the middle is empty, looking down in the Lower level. So to get from one shop to another you walk around the uh, hole, I guess. Right? So I go into one shop and she has me run an errand to the other side of the Waistworks. The directions are go north, turn right, go north, turn left, go north and a bit more. What the heck? Why not just say, go straight north, it's on the other side of the Waistworks...
Weirdness...
On a related note of weirdness, anyone else think that Vos/Tel Vos were built by an intern at Bethesda?

I wish that NPCs still gave better and better directions as you got closer and closer to your target. I felt that was one of the realistic things about Daggerfall that made it work.

I like in daggerfall how the NPC's would just mark it on your map most of the time. Made it much easier
