Ow, I thought I had solved the problem about nerfing the Dragon Tooth until you reach skill lvl 4 but I did not. I'm out of ideas for this one, sigh. All I can do is to have it useless at untrained, then -50% damage at trained until 100% at master ... but it's not restricting enough.

I really don't get this. You're working on a mod to artificially force stealth, but wouldn't it just be easier to impose some self-control? Really weak willed, aren't you? :tsktsk:

I would rather say I can't impose myself ways of playing which are blatantly not needed to survive.

The masochism goes on!
- Hacking completely disabled, skill level 1 costs one million points
- Untrained skills make you unable to use medikits, suits, lockpicks, multitools, and to swim
- Dragon Tooth sword completely ineffective without skill level 4
And now I'm thinking about this:
- Killing or KOing enemies in non stealthy ways equals -10 skill points
- Sounding alarms equal -100 skill points
Dear god, man! You scare me O.o;;

Yay, it's ready! (
http://www.mediafire.com/?a0gi1uofscy) Download.
Tomorrow I will try it and see if it's playable enough. I couldn't include all the features I planned, unfortunately - but some made it:
Quote:
- Killing enemies makes you lose skill points, while stunning\tranquilizing them prevents so: does not apply to robots.
- Skill points awarded for completing a mission without alerting enemies made double.
- Untrained skills are a serious handicap: weapons won't deal damage, medkits won't heal,
lockpicks or multitools won't work, armor charges will deplete immediately, swimming will prove deadly.
- The Dragon Tooth sword requires Low Tech Weapons level 4 to be 100% effective, otherwise it will be underpowered.
- Hacking skill disabled: no shortcuts through security anymore.
- Ammo caps reduced to 3 clips for bullets, 2 clips for the iLaw, 1 clip for the napalm.
- The augs Aqualung, Electrostatic Discharge, Power Recirculator, Regeneration have been nerfed.
- The Spy Drone uses less energy.

Are you sure that this is the
best idea, sir?

Well, if you are so offended here's (
http://www.mediafire.com/?0b2memnvomd) another version with hacking enabled. Not that I plan for anybody but me to play the game this way. Right now I have finished the "destroy NSF's generator" mission: I didn't have the login data to access the computer to blow it up, so I threw a grenade.
The skill awards from Shifter are basically zero this way, not to mention that the occasional kill of someone who's right in the way brings you minus 10 skill points malus every time. Gunther's kills didn't cause that, I've been lucky.

Thanks, I just like hacking things in Deus Ex :)

It's still too soft: I just hit Hong Kong and it's been the same old steamrolling on enemies, only I stunned them instead of killing them. Overally I must have killed just ten of them (x10), for an overall 100 lost points. Maybe -10 for stunning one and -100 for each killing would be better.
