I enjoyed Human Revolution, enough to complete 2 playthroughs. I thought the ending was a bit SS2 "Yeah Naaaahh" though. Mankind Divided I found quite disappointing in comparison.

What made my playthrough extra interesting was that I went into it pretty much straight after Dishonored. As they say, compare and contrast.
Dishonored's move set is far more flexible, obviously, and makes Human Revolution feel clunky by comparison. I also felt the way you stumbled on alternative routes in Dishonored was far more organic, whereas in Human Revolution it was all a bit obvious.
What I had completely forgotten about, however, was how much more conversation there is in the Deus Exes. That was pretty fun to 'rediscover'.
Edit: Also, on the topic of comparisons, will be interesting to see how Cyberpunk 2077 stacks up once it gets released, particularly given that the Deus Ex series is currently on hold. Feels to me Deus Ex always focused more on the 'cyber' side of Cyberpunk, whereas Cyberpunk 2077 may just be more 'punk'.

I started playing Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight just to clear it out of my backlog, and now I'm 3 hours in and HOOKED.

The movement feels really good and it's very Dark Souls-ish in both difficulty, environmental storytelling, and the way you find new routes back to save-points. Highly recommended for metroidvania-fans!
I see a few of my Steam buddies has it as well. Anyone else played this thing yet? It came out 3 years ago but got kinda overlooked I think.

I got it (recently, I think), but won't play it for a while, as I've Metroidvaniaed myself out playing Hollow Knight. How does Momodora compare to that one? I'd honestly consider Hollow Knight one of my favourite games of the last decade or so; it just does so many things so well, and while I'm not the most skilled gamer, I rarely minded its difficulty and found it engaging and motivating instead.
Edit: On a different note, I played through most of Arkham Asylum over the weekend. It's a fun game and well structured, and it's a more focused experience than the open-world Arkham games. At the same time, I have to say that I'm finding its insistence on portraying all the criminals, from small-time mook to supervillain, as "scum" and "animals" rather tiring. I don't need to be told that they're all victims of society etc. etc., but I do find it rather offputting to have even the good guys routinely dehumanising their antagonists. If I remember correctly, the later games, or at least Arkham Knight, have little touches of humanising the characters, e.g. when you overhear their conversations. They're still criminals working with murderers and they will get punched hard until they lie down, obviously, as this is a Batman game, but I still consider it an overall improvement.

Hollow Knight is probably better, if only for being much more unique in its style and setting. Momodora just looks like the anime pixelart version of Bloodborne.
On the other hand I never beat Hollow Knight because its length outlasted my interest, but Momodora is apparently only ~5 hours long, so that's a plus.

That's both good and bad to hear. I've come to enjoy shorter games more, and games that go on for dozens of hours tend to make me wary these days, but with a Metroidvania I like the world to feel sprawling enough that when a route opens or a shortcut back to the beginning is revealed it feels like a major achievement. I wonder to what extent that is lost with a five-hour game. On the other hand, with a five-hour game I'm more likely to actually find out.

Finished Momodora. The ending didn't make a whole lot of sense and also apparently I got the BAD ENDING for some reason. So, again, it's just like Dark Souls.

From what I remember from watching a GDQ run, to get the good ending you need to get a specific item from somewhere that didn't look like it was immedately obvious, then use it in a specific location (again not obvious that you'd do that, even with the item) and then use the thing you get from that either before, on or after the final boss.

Yup, just went back and finished it properly. Good game overall!
