When you guys are done here the rest of the Comrades are getting high and having a Sodomy Fest in the compound, while we wait for the organic vegetable stew to cook by the fire of treasured nationalist symbols - and endangered hardwoods.
Peace. V
Heh. You said 'hardwoods'.

Against my better judgement . . . justin1001 - does it occur to you (as has been said already) that your views might be considered as extreme as those of the countries that your country goes to war against. Perhaps I shouldn't be, but I am more afraid of what your country might do than pretty much any other country. And purely because of the views you express. And because I know you're not alone.
But you, like British imperialists before you failed to appreciate, is that it's freedom on your terms. It's your idea of freedom, it's what you think is right for everyone else. Not whether it's really right for another country, but what you think is right. And I believe that it's these extreme views that cause such hatred of the US. And no, I don't mean by me. But if you try to impose your will on others, against their will, then you will get extreme reaction.
It used to be Britain but now it's the US that is villified. Do
you ever stop to wonder why?
First of all, we didn't go to war against a country. We went to war against terrorists and a government that supported and sponsored terrorism.
Second, yes. My views are every bit as extreme as the Muslim terrorists. I absolutely hate everything they stand for. I am vehemently opposed to anyone who sympathizes with them. They are a scourge. They should be wiped off the face of the earth.
The only way to win against such vicious evil is to fight them. You don't win by sending money to their families, like this Code Pink group. You eradicate their poisonous ideology from them. You kill them, if you have to.
There isn't such a thing as "my idea of freedom". There's just freedom. Freedom is right for any country. The more freedom, the better. Yes, it causes hatred of the U.S.--by people who hate freedom. Like Al Qaida. Or the Taliban. But nobody cares what they think.

Egad! Reds in the bed ladies in the bed ladies and gents!
P.S. You're a fucking retard.
Edit: If more freedom is a better thing, why draw the line at the freedom to burn flags?

Because you shouldn't have the freedom to do things that offend me.
Duh.

Your idea of freedom includes punishing the expression of an idea as an act of treason.

"liberal pot-smoking hippie-faggot commies"
Justin do you realize how much of a stereotype you sound? I mean my God my mother said just tonight on the way home from a dinner outing that all Hispanics are Communists. She didn't bother to elaborate or qualify. You sound just like her.
And you know, it's one thing to take a stance against the left end of the political spectrum but do you really have to include sincerely homophobic comments with that?
Just FYI,
you may think that burning flags is wrong, but the (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Eichman) Supreme Court disagrees.

Yeah, that's pretty much what they think about you, too. In fact, you seem like exactly the kind of person who'd have no problem with, say, flying a passenger plane into the World Trade Center, if you had decided that the bad guys were in there. I'm not seeing how you're significantly different to them in any respect.

Just out of interest, Mr. 1001, what is your opinion on the Patriot Act? You seem to value the abstract concept of "freedom" more than anything else...

Unfortunately, it seems like most Marines these days are lacking a lot of sense. They're basically ground down into nationalist automatons who shoot first and ask questions later. It makes them great soldiers but not great people. And in that regard, I question the USMC's methods, especially considering my uncle was a Marine in Vietnam and he is nothing like Justin or his contemporaries.
