Justin: To back up all the arguements here that point towards you being horrendously ill-informed on pretty much every level, you could begin by watching the documentary Why We Fight. Oh and before you ask, no it's not some hack-job amateur conspiracy theory video. It was made by Sony pictures, features interviews with numerous high-level politicians and whatnot and also won a few film festival awards.

@ Justin

"You know why people in the US get worked up? Because they actually love their country and what it stands for. They are proud to be Americans because of the great freedoms enjoyed here. These freedoms are valuable, and are bought and protected with a great price."
Yes, bought by the lobbyists with a great price. People have been saying for years that the direction USA is heading is not really good and the approval numbers for the president and other elected is very low.
Quote:
"Wow, if someone had tried to do that back then, they would probably have been hanged publicly in the street."
You mean for Orwellian nonsense such as "Patriot Act"? Burning flags really does not really affect anyone.
Quote:
"And in America, the government is beholden to the people."
Very funny. "Your free to do as we tell you, you are free to do as we tell you".
Quote:
"Against individual religious liberty?"
If you're not a christian in USA you could as well be the devil himself.
Quote:
"communists+ anticapitalistic"
USA does not have a free market. It's a mixed socialliberal economy.
Party number two purchased and paid for. Not quite as bad in my eyes..
Quote:
"They can even keep their oil"
Not read a thing about the oil laws now have you. here's one with very little text
(

Without oil the west would not really concern itself with the middle-east.
Quote:
"The only way to win against such vicious evil is to fight them."
If you do this you have to be evil to fight evil. How do you fight yourself and what do you do when it actually does not fucking work? Terrorism is way up
Quote:
"First of all, we didn't go to war against a country. We went to war against terrorists and a government that supported and sponsored terrorism."
Sure you did. And even PNAC own blueprints admit that even would relations with Saddam improve with USA once again USA should still should seek to have a more permanent role there. PNAC is modern imperialism and pre-dated 9/11. They just needed an excuse. 9/11 was ideal and needed:

Quote:
"Yes, it causes hatred of the U.S.--by people who hate freedom"
Pentagon disagrees:

Quote:
"There isn't such a thing as "my idea of freedom".
Sure there is, you're against flagburning. A lot of Americans are not and couldn't care less. By saying that there should be no flag burning you just defined what freedom oughta be.
Quote:
"Of course we're exporting democracy!"
Selectively because of oil interests and Israel. Iraq will not be free from American influence for a very long time. 14 permanent military bases and an embassy bigger than the Vatican. So much for freedom
Justin. If you want to become a better citizen you should question government a bit more. If you want limited government maybe the republican party is nothing for you really.

anyone thinking that, for any reason whatsover, they're better than anyone else. And governments thinking it gets up my nose even more! I doubt there's a single country that hasn't ****** up at some time or another.
No matter how good you are at something, there's
always someone better.

What's even more insane is the crap Justin's spewing in relation to his signature:
"He who would sacrifice his freedoms for the sake of security deserves neither freedom nor security."
-Benjamin Franklin
And yet, at the same time, he proposes sacrificing freedoms for... what?
