Ok, so i've been discussing this matter with a few people, and i don't know what's going to happen in this area.
As of now, it seems that in order to play a thief3 FM, you will have to not only have the editor installed, but only be able to execute it from the editor, which takes a longer period of time to load maps than in the original game.
Is there anyone or any news on a Darkloader-esque program for Thief3 that will solve this issue?

I'm sure someone said they were working on one.

Yeah he raises a legitimate point. We non-programming/editor literate players will have trouble loading up the missions. A darkloader or something akin to it would be very welcome.

Don't worry, guys...

I'll probably create a dark-loader type program towards the end of next week, after I finish some exams here at college.

Yea that probably has turned to will, so just be patient with me. Schools a bitch. If you would like to help, put together a few maps (could just be a one room box each level) with custom data (textures, models, sounds, cutscenes), link them together so they'll load in T3 sequentially and send them to me so I have something to test with other than a single map.
