Vandalism and animal cruelty at the Erbach Christmas market: Previously unknown perpetrators beat the donkeys "Max" and "Lilly" living in an enclosure, the city administration said.
In addition, Christmas decorations were damaged, food was stolen, and electrical boxes and public toilets were defaced last week. Feces were left behind in a church in the city center and candlesticks and benches were damaged.
A local resident drives away the perpetrators
On Sunday night, a local resident observed the trusting donkeys being beaten in the "Living Nativity Scene" and used his shouts to drive away the perpetrators. To protect the animals, they are now said to have been housed elsewhere.
Church closed for the time being
The church is closed as a result of the vandalism. According to police, the investigation is ongoing. It is hoped that witnesses will provide information, a police spokesman said.

Despair in Sweden as gangs recruit kids as contract killers
Örebro (Sweden) (AFP) - "Bro, I can't wait for my first dead body," wrote an 11-year-old boy on Instagram in Sweden, where gangs recruit children too young to be prosecuted as contract killers on chat apps.
"Stay motivated, it'll come," answered his 19-year-old contact.
He went on to offer the child 150,000 kronor ($13,680) to carry out a murder, as well as clothes and transport to the scene of the crime, according to a police investigation of the exchange last year in the western province of Varmland seen by AFP.
In this case, four men aged 18 to 20 are accused of recruiting four minors aged 11 to 17 to work for a criminal gang. All were arrested before carrying out the crimes.
The preliminary inquiry contains a slew of screenshots that the youngsters sent to each other of themselves posing with weapons, some with bare chests or donning hooded masks.

Panic in France as children fall victim to lethal violence of Marseille drug gangs
Quote:
Warning: This article contains disturbing details from the start.
A group of children spotted Adel's body on their way to school, just as his parents were heading to the police station to report him missing. A grotesque, charred silhouette, reclining, with one knee raised, as if lounging on one of Marseille's nearby beaches.
He was 15 when he died, in the usual way: a bullet in the head, then petrol poured over his slim corpse and set on fire.
Someone even filmed the scene on the beach, the latest in a grim series of shoot-then-burn murders linked to this port city's fast-evolving drug wars, increasingly fuelled by social media and now marked by chillingly random acts of violence and by the growing role of children, often coerced into the trade.
"It's chaos now," said a scrawny gang-member, lifting his shirt in a nearby park to show us a torso marked by the scars of at least four bullets - the result of an attempted assassination by a rival gang.
France's Ministry of Justice estimates that the number of teenagers involved in the drugs trade has risen more than four-fold in the past eight years.
"I've been in [a gang] since I was 15. But everything has changed now. The codes, the rules - there are no more rules. Nobody respects anything these days. The bosses start... to use youngsters. They pay them peanuts. And they end up killing others for no real reason. It's anarchy, all over town," said the man, now in his early 20s, who asked us to use his nickname, The Immortal.

"According to a group of geneticists in Switzerland from iGENEA, the DNA genealogy center, as many as half of all European men and 70 percent of British men share the same DNA as the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun, or King Tut."
This came up during a Google search for Set.
Interesting is saying little about it. Surprising is more likely.
Have you got a pyramid yet?
What are you waiting for....

Photonic memory? Yes thank you.
Photonic latch memory could enable optical processor caches that run up to 60 GHz, twenty times faster than standard caches — optical SRAM stores and outputs data entirely as light, but density challenges remain

Researchers have built a prototype that paves the way for enabling light-powered processor caches that can run at up to 60 GHz in the future, or roughly 20 times faster than some modern processor caches. The functional regenerative "photonic memory latch," fabricated on the commercially available GlobalFoundries’ 300mm Fotonix photonics platform, is designed as an optical counterpart to a standard SRAM bit, and the team positions it as a missing component for fully photonic processors. However, further density improvements will be needed before the tech can be fully integrated into optical processors.

It doesn't surprise me. Two days after the October 7th attacks, before Israel had even responded militarily, there were marches in Sydney where protesters chanted "Where's the Jews?" and "Fuck the Jews".
I worry that the West won't realise what it's imported until it's too late. These people won't stop once they've eliminated the Jews. Learn the lessons of history, for goodness' sake.

Ironically, that's the kind of argument the Nazis were making in Germany. They highlighted crimes committed by jewish people and then argued that jewish people as a whole were a subversive element and a threat to be eliminated, adding fuel to widespread discrimination and ending in some of the most horrific atrocities.
And it's the very same argument put forward by white supremacists today -- that specific non-white people (in the US, for example, jews, latinos, black people, etc) are a threat that needs to be eliminated.
And it's the ideology of terrorists who kill innocent people as a form of misguided revenge.
And it's the rhetoric of totalitarian governments who enact punishments on whole groups of people, arguing that there are no uninvolved civilians.
This idea of collective punishment, however, never ends up resulting in anything but more misery and grief and only causes more conflict.
