BTW while you're on it, i checked out Part 2 of the "Ben Shapiroverse" video on Lady Ballers.
(
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrsysN_LBoo)
One thing that stuck out is that any anti-trans message paled in comparison to the sheer misogyny and contempt for women that the film exposes. First, while it's supposedly about protecting women's sports, not one female athlete in the movie is even given a name, and the message throughout is that women just naturally suck at sports and any untrained man could do it better than even the most committed female athlete. So any message in the film is immediately muddied by this contradiction: showing a competent female character makes these people physically ill, so they can't write that, even if the movie's plot suffers as a result.
They could have made a film with more teeth by showing talented female athletes being unfairly beaten by male athletes posing as trans, thus highlighting how the rewards for the hard work and talent of those female athletes has been unfairly stripped away. However that would require them to actually show hardworking and talented female athletes and give them names and an actual story arc. Instead it's more fun to show some un-named and useless women being soundly beaten by guys in obviously bad wigs.
The film lacks any teeth to parody liberal beliefs or trans issues because the writers have such a flimsy grasp of any liberal beliefs or any of the actual issues involved. Matt Walsh plays a "stereotyped" liberal however he's wearing a kaftan like some bad early 1970s hippy, and going on about "bug based foods" and doing some weird hand stuff related to chakras or some shit. It's not even cringe because it's so alien to anything about actual liberal people that you just look at it dumbstruck. Good satire makes the target cringe a little because it has truth bombs.
Cody makes this point throughout the video: Daily Wire claim they're making movies because Hollywood is injecting "politics" into movies, yet the Daily Wire offerings are literally wall to wall politics, where the "anti-woke" framing takes precedence over any plot progression or character development. This is often at odds with the basics of good storytelling, because usually a status quo is presented then the internal contradictions are explored then the status quo is upended. So there's change. Like water flowing downhill, if you're given a premise for a story, there's often a natural progression for that story. So, like any other writers, the writers of Lady Ballers follow where the story is leading. However, they don't like the conclusion to these story arcs, because usually, that's "woke". People learn something about themselves in stories and change who they are or how they relate to the world: "woke shit" basically, so the Daily Wire people have to keep coming up with very unnatural ways to terminate their own plot lines and character arcs.
Near the end of the movie, the main character who is a dad gives a talk to his daughter. 34:30 in the Some More News video.
His daughter says she wishes to be a boy because boys are better at a long list of sports, driving, parking, STEM fields, rock'n'roll. It's basically a big dumb stupid list that has no place coming out of the mouth of a little girl.
A normal sane dad would then say that there's no reason she can't be good at these things. But this isn't a normal sane dad, it's an authors-voice Daily Wire dad.
The dad then gives a "motivating" speech where he says that women are better at a lot of things, special "girl stuff". Like nurturing and multi-tasking. Basically he lists soft skills best described as "mom stuff" or caring for babies. So the dad in this movie is basically "sure, you girls TOTALLY suck at doing anything boys can do, like parking a car, playing guitar or understanding a scary science book, but you really knock it out of the park with the cooking, cleaning and diaper changing, honey."
So rather than skewering "trans" people, the core message they chose to go with in this movie is almost certainly summarized in that talk the father and daughter had near the end of the movie: males are naturally superior to women, except in areas where we delegate responsibility to women, as a support role for cleaning up and taking care of babies and the house.
This attitude is displayed throughout the movie where the main angle of the "trans" sports action is to highlight the effortless physical superiority of the male players over the women, finally leading up to the big game ending of the film. In that game, there's not even one adult female player involved. The come up against another "trans" team, but this one is black. The hero's team then forfeits the game, and the dad's little daughter and her friends are brought onto the field, where they literally pretend to play basketball while being carried by the actual men (so they can play-act slam dunks etc). So, the end message is that women are SO USELESS at sport (and by analogy, at
everything else in life) that they're literally children that have to have men to help them pretend to be any good.

I'd love to see Ben Shapiro get in the ring with a trained female boxer.
Maybe the idiot should watch the September 1972 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs first.
Then after watching get in the ring...
No end to the match. Ben just gets out of the ring after the female boxer pummels him and answers her question: "Who's the bitch?"
He gets out when he answers : "I'm the bitch."

An update on the situation. Very objective, shows both the positive and negative consequences of the crackdown (legal overreach, arrests on flimsy evidence, etc). But overall the crackdown seems to have made El Salvador far safer for now, all things considered

In the latest some more not news, the show seemingly made explicitly for this very thread discusses all the newest conspiracies, such as Taylor Swift inexplicably becoming popular overnight and taking a sudden left turn:

The painting slasher above has gotten away with it so far. No arrests have been made yet. Despite the offender being there in full view
They still haven't made an arrest, which is surprising to me, as there can't be that many people with £1000 Mulberry backpacks.

Maybe they won't bother, out of fear of backlash from other unhinged cause supporters

There are certainly segments of society who inspire fear in the UK (there's a teacher here who is still in hiding three years after showing a cartoon of Muhammad in class) but the kind of arrogant, nappy-wetting, trustafarian gobshites responsible for this mindless act of vandalism are probably not one of them.

Yeah it's interesting that there's been Islamist protests in the UK, where the most hateful, fascist, violent rhetoric known to man has been openly spewed, and there's not a single militant antifascist in sight there to oppose it.
It's like some people just want to cosplay as heroic activists, until there's actual danger involved. Then they hide or look the other way

Virtue posturing. Underneath there's a need to elevate oneself by presenting actions that are seen as acceptable and virtuous by members of their worldview. "Look everyone, I'm a good person."

I don't understand the point of vandalizing art, but I'm not buying that explanation. How does that work if you hide who you are?
