Well this story has legs now:
(

Quote:
Infamous internet personality, Andrew Tate tried very hard to irk the young activist Greta Thunberg, but the 19-year-old literally burned down the 36-year-old's silly attempt. It all began when Tate tagged Greta and tried to show off his car collection and said that he wanted to send her a list of all his cars and how much carbon emission he was responsible for.

Greta Thunberg: yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com
Quote:
Andrew Tate was so butt hurt, that he made a video of himself, smoking a cigar and went on to question Greta Thunberg's sexuality. He could be saying that the activist had 'a small di*k' and also ordered pizza's and made sure the packaging of those pizzas were not recycled. Sharing the video he wrote, "Thank you for confirming via your email address that you have a small penis @GretaThunberg The world was curious. And I do agree you should get a life."
But the interesting part is that Andrew Tate is wanted in Romania for rape and human trafficking charges. And the pizza box in the video was a local chain, confirming Tate's location for the Romanian police. Who have since arrested him.
(
https://mashable.com/article/andrew-tate-detained)
Quote:
Ex-kickboxer and online influencer Andrew Tate was detained in Romania in connection to an alleged human trafficking case, Reuters reported Friday.
Tate will be detained for 24 hours, alongside his brother Tristan and two other suspects from Romania. The arrests come after a Romanian anti-organised-crime unit raided Tate's properties, where they found six women who are alleged to have been sexually exploited by the suspects.
"The four suspects ... appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost," the prosecutors said.
---
Another interesting angle is that the far-right loonies are supporting him and saying he's been framed for going against Greta Thunberg. So the illuminati who are Greta's pals reached across the world to get him arrested. /s
Also, they're steering well clear of mentioning the pizza box. If that had been someone who wasn't right-wing then they'd be all over a known rapist and human trafficker being busted because of secret clues on a pizza box.

There was another good burn i saw a related screencap of today.
One Twitter user was slagging off Greta Thunberg asking why some 19 year old climate activist was famous.
And another user replied to him "dude, you literally play video games for a living".

I'm kinda thinking that actual website has a "fake news" edge to it.
Quote:
Biden pardons murderers, drug dealers before end of year deadline
^ Headline. Actually it turns out it was only one murderer, not murderers, plural. And the person was an old woman who was convicted of killing her wife-beating psycho husband back in 1976. Yeah, but that's not the vibe they want you to be left with if you skim the headlines. So their actual headlines are fake news because they leave you believing something that isn't true. Equally "the drug dealers" portion of the arrest list is pretty thin. I could only see two on the list who were provably done for dealing, and one was for marijuana while the other was underage (18) and selling alcohol.
(EDIT: also skimming the page i see another "news" article about a trans person who assaulted a family member. Not even a murder. How is that newsworthy? I guess it's newsworthy to them if they can find ANY story about a trans person being violent).
As for this article let me break it down
- instead of focusing on an international human smuggler, rapist and illegal pornography producer, they rake someone over the coals for making a mistake about the *exact means* that the police used to track him down.
- also they focus on her being "far-left" and "trans activist" as the most important factors of the story.
- they write as if it's 100% the fault of this twitter user for her erroneous tweet becoming worldwide news headlines.
- in fact, that's the fault of the media. It's THEIR JOB to sift through the information out there and fact-check stuff and make sure they're only reporting accurate stories. But this article doesn't actually criticize or mention any media outlets at all.
- the headline itself: "Far-left trans activist made up hoax that Romanian authorities located Andrew Tate via pizza box"
Well
- first she didn't exactly say that. She said they located him by monitoring social media posts, and then mentioned how the pizza box in one of the videos confirmed him as being in the country. the media were the people who boiled that down to "tate found by pizza box"
- second, the identity politics stuff crammed in is suss. they give more of a shit about that than they do about what she did. or about tate.
- lastly a "hoax" implies forgery or faking sources. Yeah but that's not really what happened here. Also such a hoax would have zero motivation for having "made up" any such story. It's not like people's views of Tate are going to be any different because of a pizza box or not.
Someone who made a mistake just makes more sense given the facts of the story. And it's not a "hoax" because she's not responsible for it spreading to the media. She didn't trick the media into reporting it, which is what a hoax would require.

Regardless, its still fake information which was widely trumpeted around the world mainly through social media as being true. The prosecutor themselves Bolla Romano came and said the arrest was already in place before all the twitter pizza box shenanigans.
For the record I am glad that shitstain was done in, but it does show the real danger of misinformation through social media and how quickly it can spread.

I wonder how the Tate apologists / conspiracy theorists are gonna spin this?

Quote:
The so-called “king of toxic masculinity” and accused human trafficker Andrew Tate allegedly put young women tattooed with the words “owned by Tate” on his sex cams, according to London-based newspaper The Times. Tate was arrested in Romania on Dec. 29 on organized crime, rape and human trafficking charges. The influencer abducted young women under the guise of romantic interest before “forcing” them to perform for the 36-year-old's online sex operation by way of mental coercion and physical violence, according to Romanian authorities.
...
The investigation began after a 22-year-old American woman said she had been held against her will in April last year. The American and other women working for Tate's online sex operation were said to have had tattoos reading “owned by Tate” on show while appearing on camera, police sources said.

This is a guy who, among other things, called himself the king of toxic masculinity, referred to women as property, and said a big part of why he moved to Romania was because it's easier to evade rape charges there. Anyone who didn't already see who this guy is will never see it.
