I have plenty of EMS, but it says there's not enough dos memory for me to install UW1 or 2. How do you free up more dos memory?

Hmm, in your Windows directory there should be something called "MS-DOS mode for games with EMS or XMS support", and it does just what it says on the tin.

Run 'mem' from the command prompt and it will tell you how much 'conventional' memory (first 640k) is available. That's what you'll need to increase.
