I was listening to Apocalyptica on the radio just a little while ago. The first thought that crossed my mind was "damn..like we need yet another one of these faux-intense self centered brooding bands bitching about how much they don't care and life sucks and blah blah blah". I can barely even turn to any of the rock stations without hearing some whiny bastard counting the tearstains on his pillow over some inane bullshit nowadays.
At least the strings at the beginning of the song were kinda neat.

This thread prompted me to check out what Apocalyptica's been up to lately. Wow. I wasn't too impressed with Reflections, when they started adding drums, but the newest stuff with guest vocalists--yeesh. It's like the most generic radio rock imaginable.
Cult is still a pretty cool album, though. At least they had an interesting sound back then.
