I think I'm doin' it wrong. When I'm aiming & press the 'block' button, I just end up blocking. Oh well, archery's still my strong suit anyway (always was my preferred weapon in Thief).

(ok, one minor spoiler for me, for the beginning of the game: I didn't realize I was given the opportunity to run with a representative of either side of the war when the dragon 'saves' you - if I understood him right)
