Hello guys,
Just taking a break from trolling and drawing adorable cartoon puppies to tell you that with some electronic music I've made I've been shortlisted in some kind of music/media industry showcase in the UK, which I applied for back in april or something. I don't know whether this is a big achievement or not but one figure puts the applicants at 4000 or so people with 60 or 70 musicians getting through (athough there are a lot of other kinds of artists too).
So it's not a way to reach SUREFIRE FAME but it was nice to have a couple of songs validated by industry types who apparently know their shit (anthony wilson of factory records amongst others).
Anyway I don't know why this deserves a thread but the page is at (
http://www.noisefestival.com/conelrad) and I guess you can click the VOTE link at the bottom of the page if you like the shit (the photo there is the worst photo ever but i was on an old PC when i signed up and it was the only photo I had on the hard drive to upload). I've no idea what voting does because the site is a bit ropey and the whole thing is a little bit unclear (if very well-intentioned) but maybe if enough people vote someone will drive a truckload of money to my house (which i wouldn't really need to make music, having made music for years with no money) and i can do a squarepusher and not spend any of it for years. It would be nice to be able to have an audience basically I guess.
Anyway yeah u got spam'd
edit: oh and tell your friends =) there's a form at the bottom of the page you can use to do that...

Hey, I liked it. It's great to make music, but even better to get it out there where people can hear it.

VON PING ONLY VASILLI!
Good stuff, OB. Lots of exposure, that's what any artist wants.

I am passionate about putting out good music for people and am not interested in superstardom or piles of cash, just in getting music out there.
So read the epitaphs of every sellout in the history of the music industry. ;)

You used to be about the music, and the sketches of a strangely human-like dog
