It's pretty normal for threads here to drift off topic :)
Just for future reference - the data on CDs starts in the centre and works out from there. You might want to try taking an image of your CD using a different drive / computer as sometimes you can have more luck with different hardware. Failing that getting the games from gog / steam is worth it - just make sure you don't install the games into the "Program Files" area if you're on Vista or above.

Ok, I buffed the disks out and got everything to copy to HD except Disk 2 Movie file B03. is there any chance I can get someone to maybe email me a .zip of that file only? I cant remember if asking this is against the rules, if it is, I apologise and I wont ask again, but I cannot seem to find that particular file anywhere on the net. Im feenin to play thief now that I almost have it done LMAO. PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!!:)

pretty sure someone will send it to you, but in the meantime, you can fool the installer by copying some other avi file and renaming it to B03. that should allow you to complete the installation.

Thanks for that tip Voodoo. I did it with another one of the avi movies in the thief folder and just renamed it. and it installed like a charm. LOL after I burned it to disk, another member sent me a copy of the actual b03 LOL now to make the switch back.... Anyway. I had forgotten how much fun this game is. Havent played it since like 98 when it first came out. It was well before it's time. I would LOVE to see Eidos and LGE do a revamp of it for xbox 360/modern computers and maybe add some more story to it. The modern graphics engines would be fantastic for this saga.
