Heh, how many ya want? I've just been throwing them together as I finish things.
Those members of the community who've contributed stuff to SHTUP over the last year-and-a-half or so should be pleased that their work is finally seeing the light of day. :)

Ok, screenies seem to have dried up. Does that mean its ready? :cheeky:

It means I ended up playing through VtM: Bloodlines again, as a Malkavian. An experience I highly recommend to anyone! Still working on it though. Finished up a few more textures over the weekend. I really need to stop the "just... one... more... texture..." cycle and just throw it out there.
Any hosting suggestions? This release won't fit on my personal web space, and I'm hearing horror stories about FileFront deleting stuff.

How much do you need? I have some webspace that it looks like I'll never use.

I'm certain Kolya will be willing to put this up at SBF, though since he doesn't have infinite bandwidth, if it's really large then it might be a good idea to distribute it via torrent tracker.
There's no harm putting it up on FileFront in addition to somewhere else, to ease server load.

I've only tried Toreador so far - I had been thinking of Nosferatu next, for a total sneaking experience (since I don't think you can let anyone see you?), but maybe I'll try one of those nutters instead.

From what I've heard, Nosferatu is a huge pain in the ass because you basically have to travel everywhere by sewer, and even people you have to interact with react to you negatively.
Malkavian, on the other hand, is a riot. There are dozens of Malk-specific NPC lines recorded specifically for reacting to the insane stuff you babble during conversations. Plus you get Obfuscation and Dementation, two of the most fun disciplines in the game.
Last night I got in an argument with a stop sign.

Keep your ears open for the extras from the TV reporter!
Also,
if you get pally with jeanette (you'll need seduction feat and basically do everything she says) and save only her (if you've got past that point you'll know what I mean), you get a nice supprise if you visit her near the end of the game.
put in spoilers for those that haven't got past a certain point.
You also get more info on VV. You can actually get a lot more storyline out of the game if you really examine some of the wacked out Malk lines.
It's a shame they never made an edit suite for it.
An FPS with RPG elements would have made an obvious target for an SS mod!
Nos is really tough. You get no help from the living and the blood dolls are no longer a resource. However if you are a fan it's worth it. The most effort in the game went into the Malk and Nossie paths.

ZB - how much space do you need and do you have any estimate of the bandwidth useage?
I've got a fair chunk of space and bandwidth sitting around not doing much atm so I could probably host it for the initial release/spam-download-fest at the very least.
ZylonBane on 4/7/2007 at 14:53
No idea on bandwidth, my host doesn't give access to that sort of information. Filesize looks like it will be around 16 MB.
