A KEEPER'S TRAINING
I'm looking NW
That's the only direction that gave me access to final area with ropes. But before that I wanted to say that I finally learned how to control direction of my swings. Normally I try use turn left/right buttons and it never works, but finally after many many years I learned that I was supposed to use strafe left/right buttons instead. Why it took me so long to learn that? Because most of the time I use turning and strafe is used only for strafe running/jumping/swimming. I never use it for fighting.
In final area is rope, but unfortunately is too long to turn. I didn't want to give up yet and I found out that it's possible to get on bridge without using rope. I need to mantle on tree near entrance and from there do backwards right jump to E roof. Here I walk backwards while tapping strafe right. This allows me to get to other end of roof and do strafe left jump+mantle on bridge. All right, rope is bypassed. What about mantling problem? I can mantle on wooden beam above rope and do forward right jump and mantle on N roof. From there I go S and drop on bridge past mantling. 2nd rope is short enough for me to turn, but it's not necessary to get to exit and goblet.

MISSION 2 - BREAK FROM CRAGSCLEFT PRISON
Here I didn't remember if there is any rope arrow or ropes, so I replayed this mission quickly, but sadly didn't find anything. But I learned couple new things. If you climb over wooden planks at starting point you will fail 1st objective. The same happens when climbing to ceiling hole at the start of mine. Also Hammerites alert to Cutty's dead body. Also this is something I definitely noticed earlier, but still, in factory there are big frobbable crates and looks like that's the only big crates in entire game, which is weird.
MISSION 5 - THIEVES' GUILD
I'm looking E
I start with 2 rope arrows and E from back entrance is ropeable yellow building like from Lost City. So I can enter restaurant the intended way. So right now this run is very easy. There is a lot of low wooden ceilings in restaurant and casino, cave passageways in sewers and wooden doorways in mansions.
In casino's SW part I had interesting situation. I turned SW and KO-ed servant. Nearby woman spot that, shouted and ran away, but thieves ignored that. I went backwards to block her path and KO-ed her. I also noticed that bodies fallen on back levitate above ground while bodies fallen on belly lie normally on ground. That's weird.

NO ROPE ARROW EXPLOIT RUN
Time to do this run for Thief Gold. Rope arrow exploit is forbidden. I also noticed that in the past I wasn't aligning correctly to direction from start of the mission, so I'm going to be more precise about it this time. I need to do runs for missions 7-10 and 12-15, but I got new knowledge from Thief 2 and when replaying missions I learned I can improve my old runs of Keeper's Training and Thieves' Guild.
A KEEPER'S TRAINING
I already did no bust run while looking NW, but I have some notes about E direction and improvement for N direction.
I'm looking E
I still can't shoot targets and lean jump doesn't work on exit from fighting training (bust #1-2). To not return to this direction in the future I want to mention that lean jump works on frobbing door leading out of hiding training room. Because of that I will just repeat my stats from first run.
STATS:
Time: 0:07:31
Busts: 2 (targets, door leading out of fighting training room)
I'm looking N
I still can't open door leading out of fighting training room (bust #1). By the way, I finally learned how to slash from each side. I thought I learned that last time, but during Soulforge run I realized I was wrong. Slash direction is controlled by at what side of enemy we are looking right now (left or right). And the game tells that in this mission. But the first time I played it I didn't know english too much, especially didn't understand spoken english and all my next runs were speedruns of this mission where I wasn't listening what Keeper is telling me. I feel embarrassed that I learned it so late.
Obstacle course had 2 busts: jump on wall and final door. It's possible to avoid them. I'm still doing 3 backwards jumps to get on the other side of canal, then go to south side of wall and use healing potion from previous area to mantle on wall. Then do lean climb to complete mantle test nad do 2 right jumps to get on top of wooden beam. From there do lean jump to right window above final door, so your upper side will get stuck on window. Look down and you will be able to open final door and finish this mission.
STATS:
Time: 0:11:07
Busts: 1 (door leading out of fighting training room)
MISSION 5 - THIEVES' GUILD
I'm looking E
If restaurant's door is open patrolling inside thief will alert to patrolling outside guard and will try to attack him. This way I easily KO-ed him. Hatch #14 is necessary for my exit from Donal's house and I know it's possible to frob levers by using crate and jump + frob lever. After one frob you land on top of levers, so you can jump and frob other 2 easier. Goblet on shelf can be taken with 1 crate and lean jump. To get from sewers to Thom's room I need to use 1 crate and lean climb. Here I learn that kill objective can fail if you KO Thom after couple of hits and game still shows it as unconscious body. Door to Reuben's basement is still impossible to open (bust #1). Lean jump doesn't work. I tried to lure thief to open door, but I didn't have noisemaker arrow at the moment, so I shot broadhead arrow at lamp above door. Thief walks into door, but never opens it. I guess he can't do it. So that's also a fail.
Reuben's safe is possible to frob while standing on table in SW corner of room and jumping while looking a bit down. In previous run it wasn't possible probably because I didn't allign myself east precisely enough. Now that I did that frobbing safe is possible. To get content without silver nugget I can just do lean jump though it's precise and most of the time you will bounce away.
In thieves's hideout it's possible to frob diamond behind banner from far away while crouching. Portcullis to Donal's basement is possible to open by alerted thief. You need to shoot broadhead arrow on floor in front of portcullis and step away. Jump to lure thief to you. Thief will see you, but not go through portcullis. To do it you need to vanish from his eyes, so move forward. When you here thief opens portcullis go back, drop flashbomb and quickly KO him. I needed 2nd flashbomb to KO other thief. Donal's safe and Randall's vase are still impossible to frob (bust #2-3). But you can escape through east basement door and through hatch #14 return to casino and to start of the mission.

MISSION 7 - THE HAUNTED CATHEDRAL
I'm looking E
Originally I called this mission perfect for rope exploit and now I can't do it. Plate under building is too much on the left. Goblet on 2nd floor near pipe requires mantling on ploe light, which elevates you to 2nd floor, but gets you stuck on it, so you need to go back to edge and jump forward on top of it.. Goblet on window requires roping up to top of wooden beam +crouch and uncrouch to grab it without turning, then do back jump to beam and window. In cave SW vase is too much on the right. Same is with goblet near sewer grate. For plate near lamp you need lean jump. To get back to house through hole you need to push barrel right and mantle on it.
In tower it's possible to get to 2nd floor by roping up to right side of wooden beam, jumping and quickly strafing right, but vase is too behind. Equipment stash near burrick requires mantling on machine and do run lean climb left. For vase on window you need from stone beams to lean climb on right wall and then do forward right jump on window. Then you do 2 jumps right to get water arrow on beam. There is goblet on wooden ledge near wooden beams. Go near lower beam and lean climb on it, then back jump on ledge and go left on higher beam and lean right to frob goblet. Door leading to room with diamond is too behind. I can't go over canal from here, so I need to use underwater passage (I used 1 breath potion). Crayman isn't moving, he's just standing, so I need to go along wall left around him and KO him and then rope up.
To get to torc house I need to place rock on wall with buttons and lean climb on higher wall, then back jump and back left jump to door. Here I need to do overhead swing and quickly go forward to open door. Door to mansion is too much on the right, but I can slash it when haunts are away. They still heard that, but they separated, so I was able to kill them. To get to grave I need to slash door, which alerts spiders. I was surprised that they can climb narrow beams. They scared me. Vase on high wall is problematic. From right attic window you need to drop on edge and jump forward right on sign. Here you put one potion and lean climb on wall, which is weirdly difficult. Unfortunately vase is too behind. Also I noticed that zombie I lured to kill burricks somehow is standing on top of building with wooden planks and there is no way up there. I wonder how did that happen. Necklace in room above bridge requires 2 rocks + 1 crate stack to do back jump. Shortly after my loot objective got completed.
For Eye I need to lean climb and get to opening, but here is a problem. Eye doesn't talk. In order for it's speech to start you need to see it and Eye is too much on the right (bust #1). To get to Keepers hideout I need to hit statue with fire arrow while standing on metal keyhole. This means that statue is too much on the right (bust #2). For trapped door I put 2 potions on pressure tile to avtivate moving wall and went back to mantle on it. This way I was able to get on the other side. Unfortunately west door is too behind (bust #3).

MISSION 8 - THE MAGE TOWERS
I'm looking S
On 2nd floor I waited for guard to open metal door on the right. Basement door can be opened from far away. I entered to open wall with loot stash. In Water Tower door to Earth key is too behind (bust #1). In Earth Tower the same door is also behind, but you can lure mage by jumping in place, then when he will open door drop flashbomb and jump backwards to KO him while looking down. 2nd mage went downstairs and stood in place, so I could easily KO him. Shortcut lever requires jump while looking down. Doors out of towers are on diagonals, so it's easy to open them. But there is a problem with 2 doors to central tower. This door here is too behind. I tried to lure mage on staircase and also archer patrolling one of corridors, but they they could open this door. For door above 3rd floor - there is no way to lure anyone here, because there is no place to hide and lean jump doesn't work (I notce that in Thief 1 this techniue very rarely works for frobbing doors compared to Thief 2). So at the end of mission I will be forced to turn again (bust #2).
Top floor of Earth Tower requires bringing 6 crates. First stacks of 3 crates is done to lean climb left and go left and drop 3 crates down, so I will do another stack to lean climb out. Also for small window leading to chest with Air key I need to stack crate and potion to crouch backwards into opening. In Air tower the only problem is with south telescope. You need to get on it's side as close to edge as possible and lean jump to frob it. You may fail, you may get propelled back or you can get stuck on it. Frob it and jump around room to north telescope behind you and then go for chest. Fire tower has only problem in final room with 2 mages. To deal with them you need to lean climb on small ledge around stairs and jump forward to mantle on higher metal ledge, which fails most of the time. Then just lean forward to KO them and drop bodies right on floor near stairs. Final door is even bigger problem, because it too much on the right, but you can frob it by going to lower north ledge from it and stack 4 potions to lean forward and open door.
3rd floor of compound requires slashing door. It's loud and laerts 3 patrollers. Lure them to stairs and try to KO them when they are looking away. For guard sleeping in room you need to slash door and hide behind door. When he's out close door and quickly KO him. For nugget on wooden beam mantle on wood around door and go on beam. Loot objective got completed. For purse on cupboard you need to go from left side very close to wall and lean jump. You must very quickly frob it before you will get propelled away. Then I enter Central Tower, which is mentioned before bust #2. In vault there is a problem with north urns - lean climb doesn't work, so I use 4 potions stack to jump on ledge with urns and then lean for them.
Basement has purse on shelf behind me that requires 1 crate from loot stash and back jump. Wall to sewers is too much on the right. I tried to lure archer to it, but I failed. I tried to lean climb on iron maiden in NW corner to be far enough to frob wall, but due to low ceiling lean climb doesn't work. It was possible to stack 3 crates on the left from iron maiden. I can't mantle to top of stack, but I was high enough to move on iron maiden and get to NW corner of room. This was enough for me to frob this wall and finish this mission

MISSION 9 - THE LOST CITY
I'm looking W
Can't get loot on the other side of wall and also I can't use stone key to open secret passage (bust #1). It's not possible to swim down from 2nd airhole, so you must use 1st airhole instead. After emerging from water go left to shadow near spiders and do 3 back jumps over river. In Library 2 goblets on window are too much on the left. In lower level crouch near right column and when you hear burrick's 1st alert go right around it and KO it. During burrick fight one of burricks escaped behind me. I ignored it, killed other 2 and when I was returning for last one I accidentally dodged his breath attack. Killing it was easy. Escaping back to upper floor is tricky. You need to stack 4 potions and jump backwards. Dropping on edge I can retrieve only 2 potions.
In ruins looks like fight between elementals and burricks starts after KO-ing 1st burrick. Goblet in higher house is too much on the left. 2 burricks happened to be in house near house with tiara. I didn't want to fight with them, so I chose to go on roofs. To do that you need to lean climb from left side on low east building and then jump to passage. North part of ruins requires making 2 potions and 2 scrolls stack to lean climb on cracked part of wall. Jump forward and back off to edge, then do backwards right jump over lava and go back while on slope. To return you need to do left jump on wall and finally backwards left jump. In Theater gems on east wall require crouching and looking up on them.
Path to Water Temple is tricky. Go to left slope and mantle on south house. Behind you is longer gap hard to clear, so go to middle on NW house and do 3 perfect back jumps on east house. Afterwards do 2 right jumps and here you must repeat 3 perfect back jumps from middle of roof. Lastly you need to do left jumps to camp and KO mage. Here is 1st medallion. You can't get inside Water Temple. I don't think without rope exploit it's possible (when looking south even is you enter there you will be unable to leave this place). Return is also tricky. To reach higher roof you need to stack items, but roof is slightly slopey and items just slide a bit, so I took all trash from camp and made stack from them in front of me. Mantle on it and do running lean climb on higher roof.
At Colloseum loot in hole must be skipped, because ladder is too much on the right and I don't have enough items to stack. To get on 2nd floor I need to jump and mantle on arena, then back jump over lava and lean climb on roof. Loot objective completed. To get to Fire Tower you need to rope up to 2nd floor of house, go near SE corner and do back right jump to hole. After getting talisman I need to look at fire elementals to make them start thier patrol. Also elementals flying over lava are invisible and frozen until I will look at them. Later when I descend they will get unfrozen though.
Exit from Fire Tower is very hard. I can't use my entrance. I can't back jump on rock, but even if I could rock is slopey, so I will not manage to stack my items for back jump. I need to do 7 perfect back jumps over lava starting from close to west lava near south wall, but not too close as near one side of entrance is slope that will change my jumping direction. Doing 7 perfect jumps was that hard that I decided to try speedrunners technique a chance. This requires using mousewheel for jumping, but using mouse means that I can really accidentally turn. Luckily I noticed that if light sensor at the bottom doesn't touch anything I will not turn. I can't do this technique with mouse in air, but I can put front of mouse on my laptop in diagonal position. Unfortunately I was still unable to succeed, but I found improvement - binding mousewheel down and up together to jump and alternating between them had better chance of doing perfect back jumps. Also I noticed that it's faster when my whole hand is above mouse rather than holding it. But there was danger to move mouse too much back and fall on my desk. This would make me turn, so I put heavy book behind mouse to prevent that from happening. Lastly I noticed that I need to be delicate with mousewheel, because accidentally touching mouse buttons was killing my momentum. Eventually I succeeded. The rest was easy, though in ruins I needed to jump on roofs, because one of burricks stuck in house returned into alley.

MISSION 10 - SONG OF THE CAVERNS
I'm looking N
From wall I do 2 potions stack to mantle on gargoyle and on higher roof. This way I can do silent crouch back jump into tower and KO archer. Before progressing into cave bring crate with yourself. To get out from ledge with nugget you need to do left jump and mantle on left stairs. After talking with Raoul shoot rope arrow on ceiling left from wooden beams, climb up, jump and strafe forward left. You can't use ladders to get out of sewers, they are too high and too much on the left. You can't do back jump from north ledge to south, because gap is slightly too big. Only single item becomes solid in water, so if you stack other items they will stay non solid. Crate dropped into water by you stays non solid, so put it on north ledge and go behind it and jump in place to push it into water. This way it will stay solid. Mantle on it and back jump on south ledge.
In wine cellar I get weapon glitch like from Thief 2, so I can't attack until I crouch or jump. In east room I can do 3 potions stack and crouch back to bottle while in west room I stack 3 crates and crouch back to bottle. But both bottles are solid and stop my movements. They are too behind to be grabbed. Door to dressing room is too behind and despite wooden texture is made out of metal. In tikcets I let servant to escape in order to open metal door. This means that I jump over counters to KO alerted guards. Plate room is also too behind. From basement fireplace I can get to secret wall. It's too much on the left, but by jumping in place I can lure singers to open it. Behind scene I climb ladder to SE corner and do back jump to 2nd floor.
I can't use secret passage to Lady Valerius, because it's too much on the right. Side goblets on cupboard can be taken with lean jumps, but for middle one you need to stack 4 potions to jump on it. Room with 2 goblets is too behind. 3rd floor library door is too behind. In west room secret switch is too much on the left, so more loot to skip. I can only get to 3rd floor by using main stairs. Luckily stationary archers aren't here - I guess that servant from tikcet room brought them there.
Lady Valerius door is too behind (bust #1). Inside purple box with chest key on shelf is also too behind (bust #2). I can take banner passage to dressing room and do 2 potions stack to crouch back to purse, but it blocks my way and it's too behind. In Cribs both safe and flute is too much on the left (bust #3-4). Here I noticed that for loot objective I still need 180 loot, but I already skipped 930 loot and leeway for this mission is only 920 loot. So I'm forced to do another bust to get more loot. I chose secret switch in 2nd floor west room to get 250 loot (bust #5). I left opera through front entrance.

MISSION 12 - RETURN TO THE CATHEDRAL
I'm looking N
This mission has automatically closing door, so my plan for it is to get the Eye and get the hell out of here without doing Murus' quests. I already got to north part of cathedral in my 1st run, so I'm going to continue from there. In my original run I managed to get to hammer statue without turning, so I'm gonna start from there.
First I roped up to east wooden beam to jump to 2nd floor. This alerted haunts. I ignored it and jumped left on hammer statue to retrieve it. This brought haunts under statue, but I jumped right into room and waited for undead to calm down. Then I dropped and went behind undead through left door and to garden. Here I mantled on tree jumped on north room. For higher roof I needed to do 6 potions stack and lean climb. The rest was just using wall to jump to wall around cathedral and finish this mission.

MISSION 13 - ESCAPE!
I'm looking E
Diamond in upper cave requires roping up to most left part of wooden beam and jump, so angled part of beam will move you left. For Constantine's plans I used noisemaker arrow to lure 2 bugbeasts to each other in front of me and gassed them. Then I mantled on higher rock and roped up to treehouse. 2nd treehouse is too behind and to get to it you need to make stack of 2 rocks and crate south from treehouse. From it you need to lean climb to treehouse. Basement is behind me, so to deal with later enemies you need to douse torches, wait near crates, go left and KO surprised ratmen.
The whole 1st floor is behind me, so you need to lure frogs to kill them. I was in corner near doorway when frog seen me, went into doorway and exploded without hurting me. Between bar and didning room are 2 torches that are too much on the right side to be doused (water arrow goes through them). However it's possible to douse them. It look like that not only vertical movement affects trajectory of arrows, but also horizontal. So to douse torches I shot water arrow into them while moving right. I also was wondering if there will be still purse in this room even though in previous mission I got 0 loot and there is and it's worth 100 loot instead of 0.

Sneak along west part to undergrounds. Looks like there is special map that isn't available after pressing right arrow to go to next map page. East tunnel leading to 3 pillars room in NW part of undergrounds is a bit buggy. There are 2 spots (one inside tunnel and one near entrance to pillars room) where looking west will make part of undergrounds pitch black. For chisel lure green spider out of cave to kill it, then run right into cave, take chisel, go right along wall to place in front of red spider to kill it too. To get on bridge - drop on ratman returning from west part of bridge, go to middle and KO him. Lean right for key, map is too behind. After fight I heard noise of bugbeast shooting flies. It wasn't because it spotted me, he was shooting into opening. I knew before that scripted fight can alert it, but I had no idea it can see Hammerites through opening and attack them.

MISSION 15 - INTO THE MAW OF CHAOS

In my original run I managed to get to giant tree without turning, so I'm going to start from there. From particle ladder you can jump right for moss arrows, but red spider is too behind. I didn't try to climb particle ladder to top, because I assumed that red spider will shoot me. So I tried roping up on outside branches, but exit branch is too high on the left. So I returned to particle ladder and climbed to top. Red spider didn't notice me. Spider cave is too behind, so I was forced to jump backwards through it along right wall and then jump left to particle bridge while avoiding being shot by red spiders and melee attacked by green spiders. Last jump over lava requires 2 back jumps. Unfortunately portal is too behind, so I'm forced to turn in order to shoot 4 elemental orbs (bust #1-4). Ritual is easy as it's right in front of me.
