Speculation? Yes, that abounds in both EM and TTLG forums; there's no denying that. But your link and post previous to that link seemed to infer that an EM forums member's
speculation was an accurate prediction that Hammerites, et al, would be included in NuThief.
Of course, that's only speculation, mind you.

IF, and I say 'if' here, EM really wants to remain true to the Thief saga, then I don't see how they can exclude all of the factions that were formerly so much a part of Thief. We haven't seen/heard anything conclusive yet on that score (except for the bits about less magic and more mysticism), but given all the changes they've made that they have revealed, it doesn't sound promising so far. I'd dearly love to see EM include at least the Hammerites and Keepers in NuThief - and not just by paying lip-service to the fact that they once existed in the Garrett's past. Then again, we have a year to go before the release of NuThief, and a lot can happen in that year. If EM's listening at all, of course.

I think the reason we haven't heard much about the Hammerites and the Keepers (possibly the Pagans as well) is because the story will have some surprising twists that involve them, and telling us everything now would ruin the surprise.
