I know that they said that the horse armor one sold a lot more than they expected it to - so I'm guessing the answer is 'a lot'.

? I'm talking about how many Xbox 360s have been sold to date, and what ratio of Core-to-Premium the sales have been, nothing about the downloads.
I found one forum where someone said they read somewhere else that the ratio was about 2 Premiums to 1 Core. But that's not a very reliable source...

I really don't think the fact you couldn't fit it all on to 1 DVD would stop anyone. I'm pretty sure there are examples of multi-disc games in the past... How many discs was FF7 on PS1?
And why couldn't they make the entire expansion downloadable? Screw the Core folks, they can still buy the basic game right? Therefore Microsoft breaks no promises, right??

anyone who has a 360, but no hdd, deserves to die. most, if not all, have it. you need it to play xbox games on the 360. they might, but id say no.

Whoa, whoa. FFVIII was much better. Screw all you guys. Squall kicks ass.
Considering how much they CAN fit on one disk, I'm sure it really wouldn't be too much of a hassle for XBox guys to switch every time they enter a new province. However, RarRar does bring up a good point: They only ever do one province. Perhaps they may expand Oblivion into a landmass. Maybe not.
Shevers on 30/5/2006 at 20:35
:weird: There is no way they'd do another province. Why's it even being discussed? It goes counter to everything they've done so far in the series and there's been no suggestion that it would be done.

There's always a first time. One thing that's unique about Oblivion in all of the ES games is aaaaaall that unused land beyond the "You can't go this way, turn back" invisible walls. I haven't looked myself but I hear it's much much bigger than the Cyrodiil part. I wonder what shape it has. Is it Tamriel shaped? That would be suggestive. I mean it probably means nothing, just something pretty to look at when you're stopped cold at the edge, but my understanding is that it's far larger than it has to be for that purpose. Maybe it's just a convenience for all the CS monkeys, someplace to plop their mod down onto.
I know I'm contradicting myself but this *is* a wild unsubstantiated rumor thread.

There's a simple mod to get rid of the boundaries so you can just waltz into the other areas if you want. Once you get past some of the initial hills/moutains put there for view's sake, it's all just flat nothingness (at least the parts I went into. Kind of kills the immersion there. But yeah, it's crazy how huge the areas are, massive huge.
If they were going to do a whole province for an add-on, it would probably be Elsweyr, because it's pretty small and fits snug-in next to southern Cyrodiil
----------
But IIIIII think the next Elder Scrolls game (not add-on, but the next full game) will be on Summerset Isle, since quite a few different in-game conversations in the game hinted at trouble brewing there

Or they could do an expansion pack that takes place in one of the "other" regions of Oblivion (Moonshadow, etc). Or in someone's great big dreams. Or in a bunch of paintings in a museum. No need to use the other provinces at all if they don't want to.
Komag on 31/5/2006 at 02:05
Yeah but we're all looking at the Morrowind expansions and how they were based on lands and areas near Vardenfell. And no way in heck would a whole expansion be something as etherial as dreams and/or paintings. And in Oblivion there IS already all that empty land just sitting out there. So it adds up to slighly reasonable speculation about possible expansions into surrounding provinces
