Imagine role playing as a character that refuses to use cybermodules, hoping to preserve his humanity that way. Has anyone attempted a run like that, possibly on lower difficulty settings?

Many players completed wrench only runs, but they typically require maxing strength and possibly using the psi power that further increases strength.
A no-CM run does not limit players to a wrench. You can start the game with some points in Standard Weapons.
