Well, not the most exciting news, but I saw this link over on the official forums - some news about some of the PC specific features of the game. There's not much to dispute here - T4 is obviously designed for consoles first, but hopefully the PC version won't suffer too much and ideally will be superior on the visual side of things.

We have teamed up with our partners at Eidos Montreal to create the best PC experience for Thief.
Thief on PC will have various PC specific features. For example the Nixxes Thief team will implement:
High resolution textures & shadows
Support for AMD HD3D stereoscopic rendering
Support for AMD EyeFinity
And intergrate support for AMD's new Mantle Graphics Api

I think the port is in good hands. I had no problems with DXHR on PC, and apparently Tomb Raider was superduperpretty on PC. I played the latter on 360 so I had to make do with a version that was merely superpretty.

NuThief will be substandard, regardless of conversion...It would be best to denounce support, for what will surely be a blasphemy.

Sooooo...this whole Thief thing...really has become...a sort of religion to you, right?

sorry for my dumb question, Im not so deep in the modern gaming world, I only play thief2 FMs on my old pc.
Recently I bought a Apple Macbook Pro (3 months ago), do you think I can play thief4 on this macbook or do I need a pc with better hardware?

Nope. Thief 4 isn't coming out on Mac, very few games do. It's only coming to Windows PCs as well as current and next-gen XBoxes and Playstations.

I think you can play T4, but seems you will have to install Windows 7/8/8.1 via (

Unless they end up doing a Mac port later. I read recently that apple wants to get more serious about gaming.

I doubt. According to Steam, there no Square Enix/Eidos games have been ported to Mac during a few last years.
